Elkins Ranch Golf Course

The course is in unbelievable condition. It was Mother's Day, so the course was pretty wide open today. My son and I played in three hours without even trying. The greens are great. Some beautiful views today from some of those elevated tee boxes. Highly recommend!

Played at 11:30 with nice weather conditions ‘87 degrees. Course was well maintained and fun to play. It had a varity of holes,each with a different challenge. There was some wind, but it worked to keep things cool and didn’t pose any problems. Great value.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Great layout, very challenging. Well worth the few extra miles to take. Course was in excellent condition. I always look forward to returning here.

Such a disappointment- online it looks like an awesome course but in person off tee, on the fairway and around/on the greens it’s an absolute s@&$ hole. — I’m talking slap your putts downhill and still come up short. The pace of play was horrible too - ended up leaving after 14 holes and 4 hours because a newbie husband and wife were infront of us so we were waiting off every tee and a lot in the fairway as well. Long story short it’s not worth the drive or the money - bad and frustrating course will never go back and wish I never went

Course overall was in good playing conditions. Some Fairways were a little spotty but it did not affect my ball when it landed in a not so great location in the Fairway. Green's recently punched and some of the greens did not putt well with lot of hopping and slower than usual because of the aerification. Just give it a little time for the greens because 90% of my Approach shots stuck great, putting surface will become a lot better soon.

The staff at this course are very helpful and understanding. However, the marshal work could be a bit more active. Twosomes cutting in front of other twosomes....

The fairways need a lot of work. Hopefully they are in the process of getting them set up for spring/summer.

I think this is a great course for the money. Unfortunately, the course was crowded and the pace slow. I can’t remember the last time ,even on a weekend, that I had a 5 hour plus round. Otherwise, I was paired up with great people and enjoyed the company.

The course was in extremely good condition. Greens were in excellent condition, although the putting was a challenge on each green.

This course is in a beautiful setting, with fantastic views. Playing this track is Ok, it has the potential to be so much more interesting. The routing and design layout could use a little improvement, some of the doglegs turn one way while the fairway slopes the opposite direction which makes those holes play poorly, a few holes have fairways with extreme slope in the landing area which plays a little strange, and the longer par 3’s play flat or 2 dimensional and seem a little uninteresting.

Each time I play here it is difficult to really get a nice rhythm going, the routing and strange tilt/angles just don’t seem to fit my eye. The Kikuyu grass also takes away a little of the fun factor. The setting and staff are great, with a little modernization this place could be so much better. Take some of the engineering that was used to build the cart path coming down the hill from the 17th tee and apply that to the course improvements.

Although only 6326 from back tees, course plays longer with five par 4s over 400 yards and two par 3s at 190+. Very scenic with elevation changes. Great condition. Greens were perfect and good pace. Very nice layout and fun to play. A little off the beaten path but worth the trip to Fillmore CA.

Course is in great shape. Greens are smooth but not to fast. Probably 9.5-10. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. Staff was friendly and professional. Pace was a little slow but not too bad. Almost 5 hour round.

We enjoyed the round today, Fairway conditions were the best I have seen for a long time. The putting surfaces were true and the ball stayed on line. We had stopped at the turn and had a great cheeseburger. The staff were friendly and the food was prepared as we had ordered.

The Restrooms are the area which needs the TLC basically they show be redone, remodeled or something to clean them up, bad condition and not clean . So I hope this review will get to the person that can make our golfing experience even better the next time
