About
Bridgemill Athletic Club in Canton has a varied landscape that provides an interesting mix of holes ranging from flat and wide open to undulating and tree-lined. The layout isn't characterized by a specific feature but instead lets the lush, rolling terrain remain the focus. The well balanced golf course features numerous sand bunkers strategically placed throughout and water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The distinct 16th hole with its island green is known throughout Atlanta. This par 3 appears intimidating but it is more playable than it looks. Players of all skill levels stand a good shot at reaching the green. In addition to the golf course, Bridgemill Athletic Club offers a driving range and short game area as well as 25 tennis courts and a two-acre aquatic center.

Love the layout of the course
Course needs to manage the pace of play and keep people moving. Round of 18 hole took 4:45 mins.
Perfect again!
Greens are still “punched”; I don’t think Golf Now is sharing that...would have been nice to know prior to booking.
Greens are ventilated, not punched. That usually heals a lot faster.

No marshals, very slow play
We’ve played Bridgemill over 20 times in the past year. It’s a nice layout with a great practice area and it’s generally in good condition. The pace of play, though, is the worst I’ve experienced in the area. I play 3 to 4 times per week at multiple courses, so I think my assessment has some merit.
Bridgemill seems to have moved away from on-course marshalls to a GPS-based system where the GPS system on your cart will display a warning message that you’re behind in terms of time. It’s clear that the system does not do much to speed up play as evidenced by our 5.5 hour round on 11/4 when the course was actually not all that busy. On a separate occasion we suffered through a 3 hour back nine. To add insult to injury the GPS does not provide yardages. I may be at the mercy of my playing partners, but if it were left up to me we’d not go back.

Pace of Play
Played Sunday, 3:20 minutes front 9. Rangers did nothing to speed up the pace. We had 3 4somes on a par 3 at one point. Ended up leaving after 13 holes as we were 5+ hours into the round.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Mid-week round
We were able to play mid-week on a perfect weather day. Course wasn't crowded like the weekends. Greens rolled true. Bermuda rough can be tough to find balls this time of year added with the leaves starting to fall down. But the vista's with the leaves changing were excellent. Staff is very helpful. One thing I have noticed this year is typically after Labor Day things really slow down on the weekends - but not this year.

Wow greens were on point
Probably best green conditions I have played all year. Course is in great shape minus a couple drainage spots here and there. The rough really gobbles up your ball if you miss your shots. Challenging, fun and grass was in excellent condition throughout the course. Would play here if every month if I didn't live in California.

Little sloppy....no one’s fault
Have played here many times....terrific course. Today was somewhat slow and sloppy due to wet conditions and cart path only. Rough was a bit high considering wet grass and zero roll.

No Heads Up on Sanding/Aeration
Played here many times. Great course. Just frustrating that there's no heads up on sanding/aeration. Had to play the back 9 twice. Again, not a huge deal, but just be upfront about it and communicate.

This course is very playable but premium on keeping in fairway

Great course, they need to mow the rough down lower.. hard to find the ball 5 yards off the fairway and green.

Course layout is challenging yet enjoyable
I enjoyed the course it’s layout is challenging yet playable for the intermediate golfer. Although the rough is difficult to negotiate it was nice to play a course that had well maintained grass in the fairways. A minor issue is the greens while firm and true are full of ball marks. Also nice to play a course that has well maintained carts and the staff did a good job of having them ready for play. All in all I would return for another round and recommend the course to others.

Great course
This course was very well maintained and in great shape. Beware of the rough as it was cut very thick and it was pretty easy to lose your ball if you were just a few feet off the fairway. Greens were quick and the pins were all tucked. A real challenge but a great round.
