Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
About
This course dates back to the 1940s and carries a powerful history. Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy played many a round at Indian Palms, back when it was called Cochran Ranch. Eisenhower loved the place so much, he wrote his memoirs at the ranch.
The Indian nine is the longest, with the most straight-forward holes.
The Mountain nine is probably the toughest of the three, with plenty of hills out on the course and plenty of slope on the greens. The Mountain nine also boasts a rare par-4 island green

Veru Poor Shape!
It is a very sad position to continue to speak poorly of the course I live on and love. The only reason I continue to play here is the men and women of the respective clubs here. They are great!
We need new leadership to bring our course back to the glory of the past. It is a great course if taken care of.
Course is poor!
As I have stated numerous times, the course is in very poor condition.. It needs cutting and proper care of the course. The GM and Owner seems to lack any care for the course or the residents who live here.
Very sad!
I continue to play here as I am a member of the Men's Club and I live here and hopes that the GM will begin improving the course.
Open pasture conditions!
Course is very difficult due to the extremely poor conditions of the course. The grass isn't cut properly when cut. You have fairways with grass more than five inches tall, the second cut and beyond is like jungle. It is common to lose balls in the fairway. I lost four balls in the first three holes on Indian.
Staff members are wonderful and the food and drinks in Hanger 19 are very good.
Poor Very Poor Course Condition!
I live here at IPCC. The staff members are great, not management, It seems like they do not care about the condition of the course. Yes, this is off season; but the fairways should be cut properly not in a drunken manner.
Hanger 19 has great food from 10am to 6pm and very good drinks. You would need several drinks to play this course.
It is not uncommon to lose numerus balls in the fairway, less alone in the second cut.
Staff members are working hard and are very friendly. It is sad the owner and management will not give them the tools to maintain the course.
Better for Cows than Golfers!
It is in very poor conditions. I could not recommend our course to anyone.
It's worst than a cow pasture. I think cow would not even like the course.
The Owner and GM need to make improvements. Yes, this is the off season; but, it still should have some likeness to a golf course and not a pasture.
Very sad!
Course is like a Cow Pasture!
I love living at IPCC, residents are overall wonderful folks. The course is in the worst conditions that I have seen in more than 40 years. You can't find your balls in the fairways. The fairway grass is 4 to 6 inches high. They do not cut the course evenly and they do not remove the cut grass. They leave it in lines of plies of dead grass. A cow pasture is in better condition.
I can only expect that the Owner and his GM doesn't care about the course or players/residents who are trying to support them.
Hanger 19 has very good food, and the staff works very hard to care for customers.
It is sad to see the conditions of one of the oldest courses in our valley. The owner and GM should be ashamed of themselves!
Horrible shape
I have never seen a course that was so unkept. The grass everywhere was overgrown and had not been mowed in days. I lost multiple balls in the fairways and around the greens as the grass was 3-5 inches thick everywhere. Until the course is returned to playable condition...scratch this one off of your list.
Shambles
The entire course is in horrible shape and seems like it hasn’t been maintained in a long while. I’d be ok if the rough was long and unkept during the summer in the valley but even the fairway was a foot long. We lost multiple balls that were in the fairway. You have to take 10 minutes each hole just looking for your ball so the round took forever. The staff was nice enough but a little heads up about the course would have been nice. We wouldn’t have played there. There was no refreshments for purchase after the turn at all either. I would have spent money but it just wasn’t possible. The restaurant wasn’t open until after 10am and there wasn’t an option to buy and premade sandwiches either or even Gatorade or beer. Nothing. It was a sad thing to play a course that once was well kept and fun to play.
Poor conditions!
The course is in very poor conditions. When you hit a ball in the fairway, and it takes several minutes to find it, sad. Other times you never find the ball. The grass is high and where it is cut, it's not cut evenly. If you hit it in the second cut forget it.
I live at IPCC and this course has continued to go down under the current management. It seems like the owner and management don't care.
The staff members are great and they are doing there best they can. The food service between 10am and 6pm is fantastic!
This course should not be open for play
They have not maintained this course in several weeks, and it was obvious that the course was unplayable, because the grass was almost a foot high on the Teebox in the fairway all the way up to you got to the green, which was the only place that had been maintained on the entire course it was unplayable, and they should even be open my front and I just turned around and tried the other nine and it was just as bad they had mowed that one at least, but they left all the clippings all over the course so you had to be very careful where you played from and it will get it Lost balls everywhere and it wasn’t just us. It was other groups that were on this course playing at the same time, all complaining about the condition of the course.
Course Should Be Shut Down
Tried to play this course, but the conditions were so bad I only got through 3 holes before quitting. The tee boxes were so overgrown that you could not find the different colored placements. The fairways were so thick and overgrown it looked like they hadn’t been cut in months. The greens were brown and hard some holes were under heavy construction so you could not even play them. Finally, they were watering every other hole as well. . I know it’s summer, but this course is so much worse then any other I’ve played. When asked about a refund, the lady said no and walked away. Don’t Easter your time or. Money on this one.
Course -- SAD!
I have lived at IPCC full time since 2014, home since 2006 and a time share since 1978. Yes, this is off season; but, the course is not maintained at all. Not evenly cut, high grass in the fairway. Numerous times cannot find your ball in the fairway. I cannot recommend my course to anyone at this time.
It is very sad; I love my course. It has a great history and should have been maintained for players at all times.
It seems like the current owner and management do not care how the course is maintained
Staff are wonderful and working the best they can with the limitations and lack of proper equipment to service the course.
.
Indian Palms
honestly this course has so much potential but the maintenance team or owner operators dont know what a good course should look like or play. Maybe the worst conditions i have ever seen any golf course in my life. It was honestly like i was in a field that had NOT been mowed in weeks. Greens were ok but the rest was a joke. I really would love to see someone care about this track because with just a little bit of care and devotion it could be pretty nice. Until then this golf course is a 0 stars for me!! The owner and pro should be embarrassed!!
Worse shape ever
Always in rough shape but this time was the worst. #9 on the Mountain course had unmowed grass in the middle of the fairway 9-12” deep.
Not going back
Mowing Optional
Who is mowing this course and with what? Giant patches of tall grass IN THE FAIRWAY! Greens have steps and gouges. Holes havent been moved in weeks and have grown closed. Charged me $40, worth $10. Pace of play was good.
This course has friendly staff
First time playing at this course, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The course has good directions, the surrounding views were great.
