About
This course dates back to the 1940s and carries a powerful history. Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy played many a round at Indian Palms, back when it was called Cochran Ranch. Eisenhower loved the place so much, he wrote his memoirs at the ranch.
You might become enraptured with Indian Palms' past. But the course itself has very much moved into the 21st century.
Each of the nines carries its own personality. The Indian nine is the longest, with the most straight-forward holes. The Royal nine features water on eight of its holes. (Yes, your break from water is one hole total).

Great value course, needs a little upkeep.
I only paid $50 for a tee time, which is pretty low for an out-of-towner in Coachella Valley.
Pace of play was anazing. As a single, I was able to play all 27 holes in 4 hrs, 5 minutes.
The course has a good layout, but areas in the rough were burned out, tee boxes were unkempt, the rough was more weeds than grass in some areas, and had to tap down some ant hills on the green to putt.
While chatting with locals at the clubhouse, they shared a Korean investment company owns the course and has been cutting corners with course maintenance to earn bigger profits. That may be why course conditions are down.
Fun course to play, got done in 3 1/2 hours. No frills and not a lot staff around to help. With that said, I would play it again.
The greens are in good condition. The tees are in good condition. The fairways are in fair condition. There seems to be a fair amount of palm tree debris left laying around not being cleaned up.
Nice course for the price
Played here several times this year. Always nice interaction with staff. Pace of play is always good, today was great because I started early so finished in under 3 hours. Course is in good shape for the price, not a high end resort course but still in great shape. I will definitely play here again

Do Not Recommend
We have been in La Quints for a week. This is the 4th course we've played. This has been the only poorly maintained course.
Good course for the price
Greens are playable, not too fast but not to slow, just right. Fairways are a little dry but I’ve seen worse. Early time will allow you to get through a round in good time, later in the day it can be a little slower but still not terrible.
Overall a good course for the price!!
