If you're sick of getting beat up and spit out by all the big-name, big-bite courses in the Palm Springs resort area paradise of La Quinta, Big Rock Golf & Pub at Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs could be the course for you.

This track provides a reprieve from the hacker battering. The design is pretty straight forward. Water only comes into play on two holes. The fairways are mostly flat.

Golfers can get into trouble in the desert areas bordering some holes, but as long as you're not too wild, the pain should be kept to a minimum. Big Rock Golf & Pub at Indian Springs is all about golf as a fun escape.

It's not a course that feels like it must make hackers prove something. The slope rating at this John Gurley Sr. design is 127 for men, 120 for women.

Hate when they don’t notify you about punched greens

Courses should notify everyone when greens have been punched! Putting was nonexistent. No starter no marshal and communication from pro shop.

PERFECT BACHELOR PARTY COURSE

The staff and team at this course is amazing! The most upbeat and friendly people who were super accommodating to us and our multiple groups. The course is a ton of fun, it’s open but also has some fun challenges. Pace of play was superb! Our groups got in and out in 4 hours. Only small note is the greens were a bit bumpy but other than that the fairways and tee boxes were pure. 10000% recommend!

I love the wide fairways, and the different slopes of the course. Maybe it was the end of the season. The fairways were not well kepted. The greens were fast and I enjoyed them. It’s a very well laid out course.

Great Time!

Started at the restaurant with some sliders and a pizza both very tasty. Tee boxes good. Fairways really good. Greens good. Avoided the bunkers 😎. Also very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Great course

Loved the course and the staff was friendly. Gary gave us great advise and the club house was great. Definitely going back and the course was a good challenge but nothing that isn’t doable. Loved it.

Nice course but dlow

The staff was great, the course was in good shape but I caught up to three foursomes and ended taking over 4.5 hours to play. There should be a Marshall or someone to move slow foursomes along.
