Great course, four par 4's so it's a little longer than most executive courses.
Great little executive course with four par 4's and just enough variation to their holes. Not in pristine condition but definitely worth the cheap price to play.
Not enough bang for the buck
I kinda like this course but for the price I would rather play a different par 3 course like tecolote
Sad,sad,sad.........
Had not played this course in many years. Use to really enjoy it. This executive course has the potential for greatness but it is so poorly maintained that, at present, it's not worth a plum cent.
Prepaid foursome tee time for noon. Arrived early to discover that a tournament was going off almost immediately. Had to rush to get on course before the tournament. Even skipped first hole. That's not the way to begin any golf game. Scheduling needs to be addressed.
The golf cart path here has always been treacherous, now it is dangerous. Pot holes, cracks and loose gravel make attention to navigation imperative. Yet, you are supposed to keep cart on path at all times.
There is enough broken tees and debris on Tee Box ( all two of them) to build a wooden ship. Footing is precarious. Can't get a good stance between the bare ground and sparse grass. Fairways also brown with bare spots. The greens are well kept. Over hanging trees need trimming.
The initial course set up and convenient North County location give this executive course the keys to being a favorite of the locals but in current condition the outlook is bleak.
Great par 3 course
I play this course regularely. It is a great course for tunning-up your short game. It also has 3-4 short par 4's. Great course for the price. Great deals found on golfnow (under $10/round).
One of the best Exec courses in north San Diego county
This is one of the most challenging exec courses in the county. It provides three opportunities to use a driver or fairway wood. The fairways are somewhat narrow and thus challenging.
great greens
'Course is getting back to where it use to be. Fairways need
more attention. I always have fun and enjoy playing here.
Has 4 par 4's which is nice for an executive course.
The greens are in decent shape, but fairways, what few there are, are not so good. Overall, for the price, this is a great value and that is why we play there. With coupons, we paid $5. each green fee's plus $10/person for the cart. You can't beat that!!
very nice greens, fairways and cart paths need attention
All of the green were maintained very well.
the fairways varied from good to flat dirt which the ball does not play well off of.
the cart paths were very rough to drive on, if you had a soda in your drink holder you should expect to have it spilling in a lot of areas.
there were several foursomes that were playing extremely slow with no marshall in sight to speed them along.
Great value for an executive course
The tee boxes need a little care. With that said, most average players will tee up the ball a little so that helps.
This course is a good value, I love that it has 4 par fours may be not long enough where driver is a must, but 3 woods and 5 woods are a better choice.
It really is a nice course to walk.
The greens are in good shape, not great but do not compromise fairness and the speed is very nice (a little fast for most avg. player).
As most executives, the goal is to hit most greens so if you land close by, you'll find fair playable conditions. If you are chunking the shots or way off line, you'll find bad poorly maintained areas.
Keep it in play and close to or on the greens and you'll get an excellent value.
Could be better
Since's its only 5 min from home, I have been to this course quite a lot during the last 2 years. The course has certainly improved after the new management especially the greens. But for the fairway and other areas, it would take some time. The basic infrastructure such as Hole Number course map is either not existing or partial.
Hope to see the completion of the improvement.
Decent course front 9 needs a little work
It was fun. Some interesting undulations from the tees, several elevated tees and a few elevated greens. About what you would expect from a executive course. Nothing special but totally playable.
great value
a fun little course with great deals, 3 drivable holes the rest are par three's
Good course for the money
This is a good course if you are not a good player, and want to try and get better. Since there are few long holes, it s less intimidating. A nice course of women to work on their game. The staff was very friendly, and the course in good shape.
poor condition all way around
Aside from poor conditions of the fairways and greens the slow play is maddening. they need a marshall to move along extremely slow players. We had to wait while a player in front of us took ten minutes looking for his ball in hedges off the course! the price of $26 for this course is ridiculous. There are plenty of nearby regulation courses at this price and lower. Even by skipping four holes it took three hours to play this dog.
The staff is friendly and you can get a great price!
After 4:00 pm the twilight fee is only about $10! The course has a couple par 4s and is typically maintained well.
good play for the money
I was very pleasantly surprised to find this little gem of an executive golf course that Ive not played before. Its a beautiful place to play I liked it alot.
Great course to practice short game
My brother and I have played at this course multiple times and every time it has been challenging. Great course to do some serious short game improvement.
Good course with great greens.
This course is moderately challenging but fair for every level of golfer. The greens are a good speed and run very true. You can play in 2 1/2 to 3 hours depending on the number of players on the course. It's a fairly easy course to walk and the greens fees are very reasonable.
