Madera Municipal Golf Course

Vwry well keep up course. For a beginner it's the I dill course.

greens are always good , a little slower than usual, the fairways are good and rolling, played 18 and no waiting on the tees

The greens were in great shape, fast but held nicely for a municipal course.. The bunkers need more sand but an enjoyable round

The greens were slow and rough. The green side bunkers for hard as wood when chopping a ball it in. Pay a little more attention on those problem areas and the golf course should be superb

This is a nice little course for the money I paid. Not sure it's worth full price though.

Overall the course was decent. As mentioned in other reviews once you're off the fairways you're in dirt on this course. With the water shortage in the area I can understand and respect that. However I had a terrible round and found myself in the dirt a lot. It started to get old after awhile but bottom line is its on me for not staying on the fairway.

Pace of play was slower than expected for a a mid week round. The restaurant kitchen was closed and only had hot dogs :(

Overall it was a worthy experience and I'm sure I'll be back to play the course again.

The greens were in fantastic shape. They rolled very true. I made 8 one putts, 4 from 8' plus. The speed was medium. I was told that middle of summer they are hard and fast.

Fair ways could use a little work but not to bad of a course

After about an hour frost delay the course was in superb shape and the greens were particularly well manicured. The only negative was the amount of birds (mud hens I think) on the course.

Overall this golf course is in good condition. I would come play this course again.

Hey even though its cheap it's a very good course.

The rough needs work. A lot of dirt areas off the fairways. First 5 holes we played had the maintanence crew cutting grass before we could tee off. Not once did we see a Marshall outside to push groups ahead to keep pace. Greens were in great shape. Overall avg all around for the price. Seems like for 15 bux more could go play at dragonfly though.

Great deal off of golfnow let us play and ride for less than 30 apiece on a Sunday morning. The starter was friendly and had us in and out in a minute. Pace of play was under 4.5, neither great nor terrible for a weekend morning.

Solid design with a variety of holes that is on par with most munis. There are a few water hazards, but other than that lost balls are very rare, and this makes it enjoyable (and relatively fast) for all levels. This course will give up low numbers for better players. The course is forgiving off the tee and moderately challenging around the greens.

The conditions were surprisingly green. There were many areas that were overwatered! Why? One of the group said the courses in the county pay flat rates for water (true?-IDK) and therefor are keeping conditions normal. In this case excessive. The greens suffered because the soft conditions led to large and numerous ball marks that were either unrepaired or poorly repaired. There were also areas of casual water and worse, actual mud/standing water.

The course is over watered or under watered depending where you are on course. Is definitely in better shape then a few years ago. I dont understand the need to water in mornings and afternoon creating puddles in fairways wet bunkers..during a drought. There is one particular starter who seems to either be in a bad mood or just hates his job has a poor attitude. The snack bar has good breakfast burritos and friendly staff.

Nice course, live it. Just little bit driving from Fresno.

the last 4 time I played there it took over 5-6 hrs. each round. I've yet to complete all 18 holes after 6 hrs. got so fed-up we just went home.
