wet and muddin places. kind od to be expected. nice to hit some balls into the fields of little white flowers
Great Excuse for a drive to the course
Mill Valley is a fun short course which allows you to use fairways and a driver. Fun course to play. Some tee boxes are on turf. However we’ll thought out elevated tee boxes.
Currently no practice putting area as I think they are rebuilding the 1st hole tee box and what looks to be a future practice putting area. Expect to walk mostly on the grass. Some areas are muddy as this course is tucked in between redwoods and a walking trail. A small golf swing practice area is just outside the clubhouse. But it did not look inviting.
Never the less it was worth playing a new place.
Muddy fairways
The fairways are rough and muddy, but the greens are nice.
Worst 1st tee box ever and terrible layout!
Despite using fiberbuilt mats for a couple of tee boxes it was the worst decision ever for the 1st tee box. There was no way to tee it up properly for a driver. The tee holders would only allow my tees to tee it high so I had a terrible mishit and only got half the distance. Even though I played after a day of rain, I had a difficult time getting my tee into the ground and had to try a few times before finding a spot soft enough, can't imagine when it wasn't raining. The course crisscrossed several times with zero signage of where to go. Not sure why they decided that but it could easily be reconfigured to eliminate the criss-crossing around the course.
A nice course with great views in 2 hours!
I have been here a couple of times before when visiting Corte Madera for work. It was again a great experience. It’s not the easiest course, but beautiful surroundings with Redwood trees for great pictures. It was muddy the last time I played, but that was not a problem now.
I will be back again!
Poor overall conditions— basic layout
Unfortunately, likely due to the drought, fairways & tee boxes were in terrible condition. Greens were decent though. A relatively easy track without too many challenges.
Dogs Welcome
I decided I wanted to try out all the NorCal courses that allow dogs . . .this was one of 4 I have played so far. Course condition are not bad. Greens in pretty good shape. Tee boxes kinda rough (some off mats). Holes have nice variety going back and forth across the valley. Wouldn't pay much more than the GolfNow deal I got to play there. If in the area . . . and I have my dog, I'd go again.
Great 9 holes
Really fun and challenging course basically you get to use every club in your bag. Very tricky. And it said playing in great shape right now
Good place for fast getaway during the day.
Hidden location threading a valley. Very natural and pretty with Redwoods throughout. All par 3 and 4s. Some wonkiness to the course layout and very poor signage, you could easily miss a whole. Several artificial turf Tee boxes. Bring extra balls, OB in the creeks have super steep banks and some poison oak. No ball washers.
Best little golf gem around
Love this course, great value and overall good test of golf!
not easy
This course was difficult due to alot of slope, elevated greens, and very wet sloppy ground. No power carts were allowed due to recent rain which also meant that there had not been any mowing and alot of lost balls . I will scratch this course off my list to return to,
Not fun.
Great course, so beautiful!
Loved playing this course amongst the redwood trees. Everything was amazing and fun layout. It is a bit challenging for an experienced beginner but totally worth it. The only complaint was not enough signs for the tees. We got lost a few times but found our ways
