Lincoln Park Golf Course

Weather great, greens healed, fairways trimmed and visuals are always memorable. Hills a plenty remain a walking challenge for senior legs and joints. Perhaps the cart policy will change with a new lease holder. I love this course but cart fees that exceed green fees ain't my jam.

This is the worst course I’ve played in years. “Fairways” have countless dead patches and grass longer than most roughs, greens are extremely bumpy and hairy, tee boxes are chewed up and straight mud underneath the few blades of grass. Push carts are $25 to use, while power carts are $50 and extremely limited supply. People (non-golfers) on every hole walking in fairways and playing catch with their dogs on greens. Small silver lining is pace of play was kept(4 hours as a single on a Monday), but barely because this course is straight up and down the whole way. Horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars I would.

What a beautiful course and a great way to enjoy the Golden Gate Bridge and elevated city views. Too many blind shots to play without guidance but if you pair up with the very friendly locals you’re all set. Thank you Lance for a decent set of rental clubs and a cart (rare sight)! The gap between holes is large and walking will keep you in good health! Not a long course but PGA-ish greens enough to scare Dustin Johnson - be warned! They are fast and slopped, cups in all the wrong places. I’ll never visit SF again without booking at least one round. Thank you!

Greens are trashed, there weren’t any push carts or golf carts available. The pro shop had a different tee time than GolfNow did and made my group go out early, causing me to miss the first hole.

Great views of the SF Golden Gate bridge, Marin Headlands, and the city. The course conditions were okay, needs a little bit of work.

Some of the tee boxes were beat up and the clubhouse is not renovated and the bar is low.

For the money ($55 for a weekend rate walking), it's great. Carts are $50/each and cart-path only and push carts were $20.

I would give it 1 star if it didn’t have some cool views, first walked up the place looks abandoned, wasn’t sure if it was open. $25 each for a cart, cart path only, not sure why? Grass wasn’t in great shape, the greens where horrible, they only sale local craft beers, and it’s open for anyone to walk onto so your trying to play and there’s people walking down the fairways, dogs on the course, I will not be playing there again

Tee boxes and fairways are fine but trying to putt on those greens are a joke. They are poorly maintained and my group just laughed. No point in keeping score. I have played this course several times and the greens are always terrible. The party I played with rented clubs that cost $50 at the course. They thought they were pitiful and they needed to share 2 sets.

Second time ever playing Lincoln after a 30 years. The fog and temperate 65 is a perfect combination for walking but the greens are in bad shape and have the weeds/ grass that literally make the ball jump on putts. Fairways are decent but the amount of upkeep is evident with the signature #17 as the only decent green/ hole. Its a shame because the golf course is iconic and the lack of upkeep, especially the club house shows what it could be. The answer to all questions is money and while we don't have enough, Mr. Lurie could donate some of his millions to get the course back to what it was in the 60s/ 70s and rename the clubhouse after him. As always, the staff was friendly and professional but for me, I won't go back.

One of my favorite courses to play in the Bay Area! Great layout and amazing views! The staff manages tee times and pace of play very well, which makes the course much more enjoyable. B

I recently played at Lincoln Park Golf Course and it was a disappointing experience from start to finish.

The staff were noticeably unfriendly and came across as rude, which set a negative tone right away. Simple questions were met with short, dismissive responses, and there was little effort to make guests feel welcome.

On top of that, the fees are far too high for what you get. The course and facilities feel outdated and poorly maintained, yet the pricing suggests a much higher-quality experience. It’s hard to justify paying premium rates for a facility that clearly hasn’t kept up with modern standards.

Overall, between the poor customer service and the overpriced, aging facilities, I wouldn’t recommend this course. There are far better options in the area that offer a more enjoyable and professional experience for the same or even lower cost.

Great views, but not much else.

The Golden Gate Bridge panorama is truly spectacular, but that’s where the positives end. The course is extremely hilly with a strict cart‑path‑only rule, so be prepared for a lot of walking. The green fees are steep, and the policies feel overly rigid: no outside food or beverages allowed, yet there’s no on‑course food options (you never pass the restaurant). The older staff member we encountered was stern and unwelcoming, though a younger staff member later in the day was friendly. To top it off, you can’t even drive the cart to the parking lot.

Worth trying once for the views, but otherwise, I’d skip it.

Lincoln is a fun course with beautiful views of the San Francisco skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge. The view from 17 over the bay and facing the Golden Gate Bridge is phenomenal on a clear day. The greens aren’t perfect and the lies aren’t going to be flat, but it’s a good challenge to navigate this course. Well worth what we paid. A very memorable course for anyone that plays it.

I've played this course multiple times but this time was the best ever. The fairways were spot on, greens were the best ive ever seen them and fast, and same with the bunkers.

The only comment I have is the cart path only rule. I understand that when conditions are not optimal but with the way the fairways were, there is no reason for this rule. At least 90 degree rule, especially give how expensive the golf cart rentals are.
