This is a great place
This is a.great course with a staff who treats everyone well
An adequate course
This course was fine for the price. Beautiful scenery, but greens were pretty poor shape, some of the tee boxes were strange and made of Astro turf, and the course fairways were really tightly packed.
Great for kids
Perfect track for my seven year old. Not too stodgy, not too long, and not too nice for a kid just trying to learn and be with his dad. Good for me too as there was enough challenge without being concerned if my son was breaking etiquette (impossible here).
mill valley
Call the course. Embarrassed when my friends discovered that I charged them more money for green fees than what was posted.
Fun, scenic 9 hole course
A great little gem of a golf course. Although the par 4s are short they offer up a challenge. Great views of Mt Tam and redwood lined fairways make for a wonderful round. You might even see a few deer.
Park like setting
Had a great day Best nine Hole course in northern California
Yardage Markers
Are the yardage markers current? If so, I hit can hit the ball much farther than initially thought.
I know this is weird but MV used to have amazing sand traps. They are now very hard.
Nice 9 hole course
Great location since I live nearby , it is a short 9 hole course where you can use your driver in at least 4 holes .
101 year old 9 hole municipal golf course with very moderate rates. The greens are very well maintained and hold most all shots. 4th hole may be one of the most difficult par 4's you'll ever encounter and the walk off the green is the most beautiful view of Mt. Tam in the entire county. Heed warning when playing in a rainy winter season - it will be sloppy out there as the drainage needs work / this is unfortunately true & mentioned in many reviews of the course. Golf for 20 bucks in the Bay Area is unheard of & with that comes a few mud balls, daisy fields mid fairway and a tee box or two that may not be tour quality but all in all big big value here at MV9. Guys in the shop are great, always plenty of cold beer for purchase and it's a fabulous walk through the redwoods.
Great conditions
This is a beautiful course set among redwoods and towering trees. There are a few tee boxes where you hit off an artificial turf mat (#1, #5, #6, #7) and some of the holes are very short (e.g., 130 yard Par 3, 240 yard par 4), but it's a very enjoyable round as long as you know that you're not playing a full length 9 hole course.
There are some tough holes and some easy holes, but lots of views of Mount Tamalpais, and right now as someone who considers MVGC his home course, I've never seen the course in better shape.
