Bella Verde Golf Club - Montebello 9 Course

Visiting my daughter and decided to try a new course. Found this course on GolfNow website. Photos led to believe this would be an amazing course. The best part about this course is the greens are pretty true. A little slow for what I like. Overall, the course needs some love. Fairways need to be watered, and the divots need to be filled. If not by the customers then by the staff. A few of the greens have pitch marks that aren’t fixed and it shows. The worst part about this day was the pace of play 2 1/4 hours to play nine holes that are tightly compacted I expected it to play in about an hour and 15 minutes tops. In fact, one of our foresome had to leave after seven holes because pace of play was so slow. There is no driving range but Topgolf is Nextdoor. Warm up there. Bucket of balls for 10 bucks.

The Bella 9 was a nice layout and the pace was excellent. Fairways and greens were rolling true. The staff was great. Thanks for the enjoyment.

I was able to book same day with a Hot Deal with my GolfNow membership. I pre paid so it made the check in super smooth and easy. The course is pretty well kept and the greens seemed firm and fast. As a single, I joined up with a group and they were super cool! Relatively rough round off the tee but the day was super nice and the course played nice as well. Coming back for sure!

It is the best 9 hole course that I have ever played. It has very good length that allows you the opportunity to play just about every club in your bag. it is excellent.

Even though this is 9halls golf course , everything is fine with me. Amenities are very new and course layout is good too except players are little slow.

An absolutely incredible course, always in great condition. Well cut grass all around, none of that usual local rough as high as the knees . Great layout, challenging but also friendly to those golfers who want to get the real practice in but aren’t quite ready for 18 holes. I love that this course is regulation size for 9 holes. There is almost always a tee time as long as you’re not super last minute. My only gripe: 1) that they remodeled to a 9 home from a regulation 18 home course. Never got to play it but I’ll always wonder; and 2) the driving range is “non-operational”. Comeonnn

First I was very disappointed about turning the beautiful 18 course into a 9 hole course, we replayed another 9 and actually enjoyed the course more than the old course.

Nice fairway and greens was in excellent condition and it’s very clean and.beautiful.

I was impressed with how beautiful the course was, also the varying lengths with not a lot of property. Really well done and well taken care of. It was confusing getting there because there's multiple names for the golf course and former names. The location needs updated online because the directions on Google maps need to be updated so you don't go to the conference center.

One major problem is that there is no water ANYwhere on the course. It was unexpectedly 90 deg. when I played and there was no water anywhere, I was dying. This is not only a convenience but a safety issue.

I used to always play Montebello when it was a full 18. Sad they tore it in half and put in Top Golf. Most of the holes are the same as the old front 9 except #9 is a par 3 and some of the holes are rearranged.

There is no driving range to warmup.

Conditions are always pretty good. Good tee boxes, excellent coverage on the fairways, nice sand in the bunkers and the greens roll true.

I would play this course more often, but it is way overpriced with no twilight or super twilight discounts. $32 on the weekdays and $36 on the weekends for walking rates. Add $10 for a cart.

Extremely satisfied! Wanted to play another 9. Conditions were great. Staff is awesome, (Roy) was great, had a beautiful outdoor/indoor bar, banging sound system, tunes set the vibe prior to teeing off. Will definitely return.

Pace of play is really bad. Backed up after the 2nd hole. A hour and a half later I was barely getting to the 5th hole. Don’t think I’ll be back.
