Bella Verde Golf Club - Montebello 9 Course

Original 18 has been reduced to 9 holes. The remaining 9 holes are a true gem.

Not the usual short 9 hole course. Very challenging and fun to play.

One of the best 9 hole courses you can find. It is a remnant of a previous 18 hole layout so the holes are legitimate holes and not the typical 9 hole course.

The conditions were outstanding and the greens were excellent.

Would definitely play this course again.

I used to play Montebello 18 and this was the first time swinging at Bella Verde 9. The old 18 was somewhat boring and under maintained. The current 9 features mostly par fours with a nice mix of uphill, downhill, and sidehill tee shots to well maintained Bermuda fairways. Greens were firm, fast, and fair with attractive large bunkers.

Walking the course is a little challenging because the first few holes climb the hill and there are often considerable distances between the greens and the next tee boxes.

The clubhouse is modern and music booms from dozens of speakers surrounding water features with ample seating. A fun place to hang out even if not a golfer.

Great layout and i hope that course upkeep doesn't not diminish after time

Three groups backed up on every tee, incompetent staff, come if you have 5 hours to play nine holes and enjoy scrolling on your phone while swinging your club once in a while.

First time playing here and had a good time. There is no driving range so that is a bummer. Staff at the bar were very friendly. I will be coming back

Course is in very good shape. Greens on fast side but very fair. Overall had a great time.

It’s a nice course if the pace kept moving.

I’ve played here often and most of the time it’s slow paced. None of use are pro and perhaps the course can add a few tips to keep the score card to keep the game moving.

Example, if it’s a par four and you haven’t made it the green in 8, pick up the ball and move on to the next hole. Don’t spend more than 2 mins looking for a lost ball. If you normally hit over 100, tee off from the red, etc. These are tips that can bring their game up and help keep pace.
