The Vineyard at Escondido

The only thing I’d like to see more of is the beverage cart. We golf early, usually before 8am. I’d like to see it before the front nine, we did catch it on the 12th. Other that that small thing it’s an awesome course to play!

It happened on Thursday. I book on the vineyard website for 2. As you know you have to have credit card to make a reservation.

When I come for my tee time, the guy at pro shop Mike said. I already paid. I asked him adjust because what i understand i put Credit cards just for reservation. He ruthlessly told me i play or lose money, he will not adjust or anything. I was so disappointed. After finishing the rounds i come back to the shop to terminate my membership. Again he makes me so mad. Then the girl from the bar approached, explained and give me the manager card. She got my phones number and tell me manager will contact me next day. Nothing happened!!!

I really enjoyed the court but the guy like Mike should not working there with his attitude

Vineyard nice course getting a bit rough on grass, needs yardage markers 100, 159 ect, enjoyed it, would play it again

Finally had the opportunity to play here and wish I played here sooner. Well maintained and challenging. I think I might sign up for the players club and I think has one of the best amenities I've seen around here.

Don't know why I review...this will probably be my last. Management obviously doesn't care...something as simple as filling the ball washers hasn't been done in years! Bunkers not ever prepped in the morning. If it weren't for the Golfnow Hotdeals I'm not certain I'd play here much...

Everything great, except they need a marshal to help keep up the pace of play, play bunched up on back nine with two to three groups per hole,

Been a long time since I last played here. The course is in better condition than I remembered and the driving range has been improved with launch monitor.

I'll definitely come back again.

To begin with it was very hot. They can’t do anything about that, but the bugs should be taken care of. I’ve never played anywhere where they swarmed and pestered so much. I felt like pigpen from Charlie Brown, with gnats and mosquitoes instead of dust. Makes it very hard to concentrate when you have them landing and buzzing in your ears, crawling on your arms and legs and trying to make their way into your nose, eyes and mouth!

There were no distance markers of any sort on or near the fairways. Invasive grasses not suitable for fairways were evident on most holes which made it difficult to play consistent shots from the fairway. The rough was, in many cases either boggy or contained areas that were basically hard pan dirt. The greens were in reasonable shape. Staff were great but could not make up for a poorly maintained golf course. Looked like they had an excellent driving range set up with latest technology for golfers to use in assessing their shots.

I was not impressed with the course. The fairways were not in great shape and there were a lot of muddy area and it seemed to be very mushy and the green were beat up bad The guy at the pro shop was friendly but to order and pick up food . That guy was very cranky and not Pleasant.

He seemed irritated. The started Kevin was very nice and friendly. I haven’t played this course before because of bad conditions.

I love the lay out course in good shape the greens slower than expected. I would give it a 5 stars but pace of play for Thursday too slow for me.

This course was delightful. I was paired with 3 others to make a 4-some. Luckily they had some local knowledge. Pace of play was ok- at 4 pm in the afternoon on Sunday. The par 3s were backed up for some. I really enjoyed the challenge of the water holes. The price was great. I would have paid 5x more at the resort. The practice facilities were really great with areas for pitching, short game and putting. There were not many women on the course but all holes were gettable for me

We loved the course. Driving range was equipped with a trackman. Strange people playing infront of us, started being late and ended up in a fivesome (!) … could have avoided by the starter …
