Bunkers
The condition of the greens are fairways were good. However, for 80 dollars you would expect bunkers with dirt not concrete. Bunker were hard with rock the scracthed the bottom of the clubs. Some bunkers had grass growing in them. Totally unexceltable for any 80 dollar golf course.
Not bad for the money.
Bunkers we're rock hard, with weeds growing out of them. Sum really dry areas, some really wet areas. Greens are in good condition. I'd play it again for sure.
Could be good
I don’t get it. The course layout isn’t terrible and it’s reasonably kept so it’s not a bad course as a general statement. However, the pace of play was horrible. We wanted to leave at we waiting for 10 minutes in every tee box and that’s not exaggeration. No marshal to keep it moving. $80 a round for a 5* hour round with a cart that has no GPS. Just not worth it. We hadn’t played there in 15 years and wanted to see about throwing it into the rotation. It will be more than 15 years before we play it again.
Nice track with a lot of character
This was my first time playing at this golf course. I had a great time.
Pace of play was great. We started at 6:15am and finished in under 4 hours.
The weather was pretty good while we are in the middle of a heat wave. 67 degrees to start and 80 degrees to end (~ 10am).
This golf course starts out with 3 very challenging holes, gives you chances to make birdies with short par 4s and par 5s and provides some additional challenging holes on the back nine, starting with the uphill 10th.
This course is never boring and has a lot of character. It was great playing with some locals and getting tips for my eventual return.
I will add that there were some dry spots here and there in the fairways that made me think twice about my lies.
Additionally, when it's early in the morning and the course is wet, it is better to stay off the fairways on certain holes since the fairways can get wet.
Would highly recommend this track.
Senior foursome
Used GolfNow app for a great price
Staff very friendly
Pace of play was great
Course in good shape other than the sand traps that were a little muddy
Greens were receptive
19th hole... we had the hotdog, chips,& beer special
Love this course
Vinyard Escondido
The course remains a fair deal...but they continue to ignore many bunkers, and their refusal to keep ANY water in ball washers says alot...how hard is it?
Also, given the 90plus degree heat on course cart service would have been nice.
Great Back 9
This is a nice course with an exceptional back 9 in terms of layout and design … the front 9 needs a little conditioning work and could use some lengthening of a couple of par 4s, but it also is a challenge.
The bunkers were in horrible shape.
No sand, just a hard bottom mix of thin gravel like stuff. Some had clay mud and puddles.
Tee boxes, fairways and sand traps need attention
This is a fun course to play with lots of hazards to keep you on your toes. The greens are in great shape. However, the tee boxes are in rough shape and the bunkers are like cement, luckily I was only in them twice. The pace of play was a little show at times because we had a FIVE-some in front of us. We finally called the pro shop at the 10th hole but nobody showed up until the 16th hole to break them up.
