The Vineyard at Escondido

We teed off at 1pm, paid for 18 holes. Play was so slow barely got in 9 before dark. They seemed to be overbooked.

First time playing here, staff was super friendly, explained the course and what to expect. Got paired up with some regulars layout is challenging but fair. Greens were a little fuzzy due the a night before rain but in great shape. Would highly recommend this one.

Haven’t played the course in a couple of years. Course was in great shape. Pace of play was good.

If you have not golfed here yet, this course has excellent scenery and a friendly staff. Since it rained the day before, the conditions were wet which enforced all carts to stay on the path that day which is why I rated it 4 stars versus a 5. However, since the carts were included—brand new and nice carts might I add—,paying $54 all together for a round in San Diego is solid.

This was my fourth round here in the last 6-7 weeks. It had been years before that. Really fun track and a great value. Front and back nines are like two different courses. Front is flat, lots of water. Back is up, down, blind shots, more risk/reward decisions, etc. Fun challenge.

I will say that it’s pretty tough to get a bad lie right now. A lot of rough is cut down to near fairway length. Keep that in mind on errant shots though- nothing will slow them, especially near the water. .

Awesome range with trackman included on like 75% of their bays. Absolutely keeping this place in the rotation for awhile.

The course has challenges for the above average golfer. The course a few muddy spots that needs attention .

They need to do the heavy equipment work at night. Set up a spotlight. Tough to play with background noise the whole time.

Poor value for the money. Unimpressive course. Greens in good shape, but not fairways. Be prepared for mosquitos. Good driving range and good frequency of contact with refreshment carts. No bathrooms except at pro shop.
