The Vineyard at Escondido

Great service, good food. Can’t complain much about the course condition after all the rain. Rough was thick!

Greens were in good shape. Rolled true. Nuisance to me was lack of ball washers and no water buckets to dip my towel. Sand traps were mostly unplayable. Golf carts were looking pretty ragged, seats were torn. No GPS. I thought they had gps before? Maybe not.

Food and customer service made up for it. Tee boxes were a little beat up.

Worth looking at for the dollar. All courses in San Diego flooded out with the rains and was cart path only. Greens were good and quick Fairways ok tee boxes need tlc. Course had an interesting layout fairly forgiving and a challenge. Under better conditions it be a good one to try

Played here a few times now & it’s always a fun time. The front 9 and back 9 are very different in a good way.

Tee’d off at 820. Finished at noon!!!! Greens were rolling smooooooth. Besides not much sand in bunkers, course was great, pace of play was good, track man on range, and nice day. I would recommend this course to anyone. It’s hit or miss with pace of play but can’t wrong with Vineyard.

Nice fun track located close to the 15. Fun course for all handicaps.

Just not a great experience on the course. Lots of blind tee shot landing areas. My group also had other groups steal our golf ball on 3 different occasions. I haven't had that happen to me on a golf course in over 6 years. Blind tee shot landing areas made for some lost balls just off the fairways for members of the group. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I won't be coming back here due to the course, but the staff elevated the experience. The chef really went out of their way and should be commended to fix a misunderstanding in the order given to him.

Not worth the price

I paid for 18 holes with a cart, but do to the rain, they did not allow any carts so I had to walk the course

I got on with a twilight pricing, and was pleased with the course.

I only played the first nine because it started to get dark. However, I would have played more had I been allowed to play-through (waited on group in front of me on every shot).

As for the course, it was well maintained, except it seemed as though no one playing this course fixes divots on the greens.

I would recommend this course to others (especially if they get a deal on the price), and will play it again.

It appears the recent drought has wreaked havoc on this course. The greens were really good. Most of the tee boxes were ok. Unfortunately everything else was poor. Burnout, muddy patches, hard pack bunkers.

Shame, it's a challenging layout and could have been a good experience.
