The Vineyard at Escondido

Like the course layout but conditions were poor. Obvious lack of investment in maintenance during the last few years . I hope it improves going forward as course layout is fine.

Great staff, amazing views, and a solid course especially for the price. First few holes can get in your head. Pace of play is not incredibly slow but I wouldn't expect to get through 18 under 3.5 hours.

Loved the course layout. Was supposed to rain, so there was only a few people on the course. Will definitely play again to see if the pace of play is still good with out the rain and the punched greens.

Enjoy my time there

This course has so much potential. However, the course conditions were absolutely awful. Trash all over the place, bunkers were practically mud, and the fairways were the trash. Definitely not worth the green fee.

With greens being punched earlier in the week, surprisingly they weren’t as bad as we thought they would be . Love the layout, bunkers were a mixed bag, some with rakes and some not but overall not bad. Tee boxes a little shaggy but good shape.

Greens slow as can be. It was like putting over a flower bed. The greens definitely need to be cut and rolled twice a week at least. Practice green was fast, course completely the opposite. You have force yourself to hit the putt hard going downhill. That's not good. Uphill... forget about it. Pull out a 3 wood. No sand in most bunkers. A little TLC and some sand. Course would be a 80 to 90 dollar round, easily.

Great course but parts of the grass werent in good shape… some tee boxes weren’t level… the greens has so many ball marks in them… wish people would do a better job repairing their marks…

but overall I would come back to the Vineyard

Good to see the bunkers looking better. Good pace, only waited a few holes to hit. Seemed like the marshals were on it. Greens were probably rolling 9.5. Some dirt fairways on a few holes but most were fine.

My cart kept shutting off. It was stressing me out. I was going to swap my cart before 5, but there were none available. After an ambassador showed me how to make it work, it was okay. Pull the accelerator pedal towards the cart. Food and beverage was good in clubhouse, no service on the course.

Management: Get some ball washers on the course already?

Maybe get your electric carts repaired?

At this price point I’ll gladly come back. If it was more expensive I would play elsewhere.

Pretty day, course was nice, but a very slow group in front of us. We waited to tee off on every hole.
