The Vineyard at Escondido

Caught up to group on tenth tee,they did not belong there,spraying balls all over fairway,plus hitting extra balls so waited on every tee on back 9.

I played this course yesterday and it was just what I was looking for. It was challenging with water and bunkers but also nice wide fairways. The greens were in great condition. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this course. Loved it!!

My tee time was delayed, and after three hours of play, I had only completed nine holes. I waited for at least two groups to tee off / clear the fairway in front of my group on every hole. I was informed that a youth tournament earlier in the day had put them behind, but I have to imagine there is a way to better manage starts and/or police the pace of play to avoid a potentially six-hour round. I had heard good things about the course, and the front nine met expectations with respect to layout and condition. Unfortunately, I still haven’t had a chance to play the back nine. Unless you have a lot of time, be cautious booking a tee time.

Title says it all! By the way, the restaurant was also closed because they had a health department problem… Wow, what are they doing there?

Liked the course, but at this time it is very dry. The whole area is, so it's not just the course. The greens held true. The course was challenging; especially the back nine. They have a great practice area with several putting greens. Didn't get a chance to try the bar/restaurant, but heard it was good. Busy course, so get there early!

We really didn't expect to play much more than the front nine, but made it thru 9 by 3:40, so we kept going. The back nine is unprotected and more vulnerable to the Santa Ana winds and it was much breezier once we got to the 10th tee. Other than that, conditions were good.

The fairways were hard enough that the ball would roll farther than normal (and cost me a ball on the back nine). Greens were fast and in good shape. It was a fun round and we couldn't believe that we were able to finish 18 before absolute dark.

We'll definitely take advantage of these late afternoon bargain rates.

It was very breezy, course was a bit dry (they need to put a bit more water on the fairways), greens were good.

Overall a nice day golfing.

The Fairways are in very poor condition. Whatever water they use is either not enough or uneven and creates hard muddy services. Bunkers are hard dirt which hold water. Not worth more $25-$30 to play on poor conditions. .

I would classify this course a Mother Nature course

Without rain course condition is horrible. Fairways are brown, dead grass, and what water is applied leaves hard bare mud areas. Dirt sand traps that collect and hold water from sprinklers. Over priced course for condition of course. Maybe next year if course gets help from Mother Nature.

Fairways are covered with dead grass everywhere. We're they use sprinklers there is little to no grass and muddy. Maybe next year if mother nature brings rain to this course.

Value is good for the price. Don't expect a golf course with great conditions. Very dried out. Greens are green but very bumpy. No sand in sand traps. Range balls completely worn out. Staff were nice. Pace of play was good. Senior discount was great. Even my wife said we will not come back.
