Lake Spivey Golf Club

Iam reminded why I'd don't book here. The course track is fun but the greens are atrocious. It should not be considered a green but more like a fairway or temporary green. I think they had 1 decent green but was so slow due to over growth. I will not block here again until they get the greens worked out. I was stunned to hear that they were hosting a tournament. Greens can't be putted on, so save ur money and play golf elsewhere.

Approx 6 greens were temporary. The others were fuzzy with bare spots.i was not told by GOLFNOW when I booked. I would never have booked. I am so disappointed. I paid for the 3 other members in my group. The total round cost 110.00.

Don’t go near this course for at least a year. Worst conditions of a golf course I have ever played. Greens were worse than fairways. A bunch of temporary greens and they claimed to stay they were under construction but there was clearly no work being done to the course. Don’t waste your money or time.

Lake Spivey currently has several “temporary greens”. Makeshift fairway greens. Still charging $48.

Greens are the worse I have ever seen a course. The worst part is I payed full price to play and never got informed about the wholes being moved to the fairway. Nor did I get informed about the greens being 80% fungus and dead and what 20% grass was on them was to thick to put on.

THIS COUSE SHOULD NOT BE ON GOLFNOW!!! I played this course on Saturday.The course is in it's worst condition ever. There are six out of the eighteen greens that are makeshift greens, located in the middle of the fairway and nothing but dirt. The remaining greens are very patchy and uncut/rolled. This course greens are totally under construction, are should be. AGAIN DON'T WASTED YOUR TIME AND MONEY.......

Every green was under construction. Multiple fake greens without any indications from staff or management or on the svore cards.

Total waste of time and money.

Booked Lake Spivey through golf now and paid ahead of time. Showed up to check in and realized that multiple greens were “under construction”. There was no update or warning ahead of time not to mention the rest of the greens were destroyed with bare spots.

The greens under repair were replaced with fairway greens short of the actual green. Even had a Marshall tell us not to park so close to the mowed down fairway green and wouldn’t leave until the cart was moved. Absolute waste of money and time. Would not recommend until all greens are repaired.

This course has fallen from grace in a short time… The greens are beyond disappointing and the staff is just sweeping the playing conditions under the rug. Our foursome played $51 each for diseased greens.

Save yourself from the heartburn… Play somewhere else.

Overall I enjoyed the layout of the course. Plenty of variety hole by hole. Tees & fairways are in good shape.

However, the greens are 70's shag carpet. Many temp greens so they're working to get them back. For now once you get on the green putt twice & move on. Would not pay full price to play this course right now. Still fun to play overall. Looking forward to playing again once they are able to get the greens back in shape.

Don't waste your money. The greens are absolutely awful!

Bar and restaurant was closed. No cart girls. Pace of play was slow. Lots of temporary greens I guess they were renovating the original ones? Greens that were playable were in poor shape. Super slow. Layout was pretty cool. If it was maintained properly, would be a fun course.

About half the greens are closed so they have a lot of temporary greens throughout the course. They should at least put a note in golfnow AND reduce the rate. Had we known about the condition of the course, we would've played elsewhere. The greens that aren't closed are in terrible condition so they should just close the course long enough for a proper repair. Fairway greens are not fun. I'll wait at least 18 months before considering a return to this course.

Half of the holes were temp greens and the rest of the greens that were open were severely diseased and bare. Advanced notice of the course conditions would have been welcome. Worst greens I’ve ever played on 30+ years.
