The course is laid out well, with some challenging tee shots and is visibly nice. The greens are absolutely horrible! How they feel they can charge full price when the greens are barely discernible from the fairways is beyond me!

At least let it be known the greens are not actually green. They are literally dirt. You all have pics up that makes it look nice. Be honest and let us decide if it's worth the price you charge.

The course is nice. Fairways are excellent but the greens were horrid. There’s some type of lawn disease going on.

As many people have mentioned...the greens are unplayable. Don't play here! The new management/owners have done alot of good things w the course and club house but they may be in alot of trouble with all the greens being in need of replacement.

I usually like playing rhis course, but all the greens were infected by a fungus and were absolutely diabolical.. I should have been informed in advance, and given the option to reschedule when the greens are returned to normal.

While the course conditions overall were average for a public course, the greens were unplayable. They were 75-80% dirt and 20-25% spots of very fuzzy grass.

I booked on golf now and was not alerted to the fact that the greens were in such poor condition. We should have been notified prior booking and Lake Spivey has nerve to charge premium prices, not happy at all.

Greens are aerated and the sand patches make them almost unplayable. Greens should improve in about 2 weeks. Fairways are generally good.

You would expect that on Labor Day, a golf course would be a good condition. The fairways and rough desperately needed to be mowed, but that was the better part of the course. The greens were in horrible shape. Primarily all dirt and sand. on most greens. the ones that did have grass were extremely slow. I played here twice this year and was very pleased with the conditions, but this was ridiculously bad!

When I arrived in pro shop I was advised the greens were aerated a week ago and that they notified GolfNow. I told them I didn’t see any aeration alert on GolfNow. Greens were almost unplayable due to the aeration and uneven sand application. Course conditions should improve in perhaps 2 more weeks.

This is a solid course usually, but right now the greens are scalped and sanded to the point that there is almost no grass on any of them. I wouldn’t go back there for a while until they fill in significantly.

$51 for some of the worst greens I’ve ever played on. They aereated and didn’t notify any one and charged full price. Horrendously slow play, unkept rough (about 4-6 inches deep around the greens). Greens were basically like putting on a sand trap with thick carpet on it. Won’t be returning. Don’t play here, you can play at much nicer courses for $51.

The audacity of the course to charge ppl $45 to play is a true sign of where this course is headed! Was a frequent player here but over the last year the course has gone side ways, without any warning to how the greens were we played and to our surprise 18/18 greens were just sand traps. Will not recommend to anyone, was embarrassed to play tbh

I’ve actually never played conditions this poor. Bad enough we had a threesome join a foursome in front of us, but there was more dirt than grass on all the greens. The 25-40% of grass there wasn’t mowed In a few days. It’s a shame because the course layout is actually pretty solid. Good people working there, but they need a game plan to get the course in shape.

This course is great and can be challenging and fun. But right now the greens are in really poor shape. Lots of missing grass and very sandy. We felt like we were putting in a sand trap! For the money the greens should be in good shape. Very disappointed.

I played here once before about 2 months ago and I really enjoyed myself and felt like the course was in great shape and a nice little find in Jonesboro. Since then, they clearly had a grounds maintenance issue and absolutely sabotaged the greens. I’ve seen poor greens before, but even poor greens deserve to be in a category far away from these. The greens were at best 15% grass, 85% dirt and sand. Even where there was grass it was over grown and like putting in an abandoned parking lot. The worst golf experience I’ve ever had and NOBODY cared to disclose this major issue. It’s not like 2 greens had issues…all 18 greens looked like they had been set on fire the previous day and recently just put out. This course needs to shut down and quit robbing people of their herd earned money until they have Atleast a somewhat functional golf course. I wouldn’t golf here for free right now and they are likely 6-8 weeks away from having anything decent regrown and back to 70% normal. We deserve a refund. Finding out 6 holes in that this level of consistency would be the high light/ low light is unacceptable. Save your money and slow them to feel the financial burn while they fix their mistakes.. it is wrong of them to take any money for this experience.

Some of the best fairways I’ve seen in this area even with the fringe in need of better care. The greens were all ab absolute trash fire wreck. They should have dig a hole in the fairway and stuck a flag there and play winter rules until. The greens come back. Plain and simple.

The greens were sands-and patches of grass, jthey should have close the greens or give us a heads up on what condition the greens were . All 18 greens were sand & grass patch. Had I known this I would’ve demanded a refund
