Desert Island Country Club

The course needs work. We haven't even had any 112+ days yet and it is not in very good shape. The greens are not too bad, but right around them and a significant amount around the fairways, are terrible. This is too nice of a course, to have it look.like that.

Played this for the first time. Was excited but after playing the first few holes became very disappointed. Greens were horrible. Had huge chunks missing filled with sand. It is summer and I get the heat makes it hard to maintain but wish that was disclosed upon booking. Also this course had more nats (bugs) flying around than anywhere I’ve ever played. It was very distracting and uncomfortable. Fun course but not maintained like the pictures.

Greens were almost unplayable bare and many burned out areas. Fairways were also very brown with burned out areas. Tee boxes were in terrible conditions 7,8 & 9 were all dirt. This course was in the worst condition of anything I have seen in several years. Not worth $77. Golf Now should have a warning of the poor conditions. The 9th green is unplayable many dirts areas on the green. Sad to see this course in such poor condition. I played there 10 years ago and it was in very good condition. It appears the course maybe in some sort of financial distress. I should have taken pics of the bad conditions

Worst course conditions I have played all year on any course. The greens were very slow and 1/2 of the greens had bare dirt showing and a lot of brown areas.

The fairways had many brown and burnout areas.

Several tee boxes like 7, 8 & 9 were all dirt. The 9th green is unplayable all bare and dirt.

This course wasn’t worth $77 maybe $35 if they included a free lunch. Golf Now should have had a warning about the poor conditions.

Come on golf now really ?! No restaurant, no beverage cart, no t even a hotdogs . Country Club yeah right .

I’ve played here several times. Today was the first time I noticed lots of gnats/mosquitoes that were bothersome. The greens were kind of beat up but didn’t affect putting. I played the white tees, makes for a couple long par 5’s (530 yards) and long par 3’s (170 ish) so is challenging. I only paid $55 for this round so it was worth it.

This course has more bugs than anyplace I have ever played. They were flying in our ears and relentlessly pestering us all day. Also, the fairways had thousands of holes in them and the greens were diseased. The beautiful club restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed for the entire Summer. None of these issues were noted when we booked the tee time.

This was my first time playing Desert Island as I have driven by the course for the past year and have always wanted to play there. The course was nice and challenging with water on and a lot of sand traps on many of the holes. The greens and tee boxes were not in that great of shape with some of them bare and/or looking like a disease had taken over. Nevertheless, it was a fun day and will return.

This is a good course. Not real hard and fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Greens are not great but expected for summer conditions

Some Greens weren’t very good. Course staff were great. Fairways were in pretty good shape.

After finishing nine holes. We ordered couple hotdogs and we were told they would bring the hotdogs out to us on the 10th. Hole if not they would find us, by the 12th and 13th hole. We were starving wondering where you are our hotdogs we finished the 18th hole went back to the place were we ordered the hotdogs and the bartender told us that the cook had quit or never showed? We never once saw a drink cart come out and or did we get a heads up that the cook was gone and there would be no hotdogs coming to us. It really left a bad taste in or mouths. I hope they can straighten this out so that other golfers don’t ever have an issue

We enjoyed playing this course, the greens were not in good condition, fairways were beautiful.
