Good Value, Got Caught in the Wind
Formerly "The S" the course winds back and forth starting at the perimeter toward the center where the lake creates some challenging holes to end each nine. Conditions were good with medium speed greens. The wind picked up on the last 6-holes making for a difficult finish. Would likely play here again.

Tough finishing holes
This was our first time to play Desert Island, but I followed the advice of a local golfer who had seen times available for Saturday during a very busy weekend in the desert. We were paired with another single and our threesome never had to wait after the second hole, and never had anyone pushing our pace the entire round. We played in 3 1/2 hours in great conditions. The greens were slower than some other course we played but rolled true in good condition maybe 8-9 stimp. We enjoyed a nice lunch, and were only disappointed they could not get us out for a replay.
I will try to play here again next season.

Course conditions were improved compared to other recent reviews in my opinion. Very playable conditions, greens were of a speed that you didn’t get frustrated that the ball would never stop rolling.

A Nice Course
Course is fine. Food and beverage prices are way way overpriced to the point of being ridiculous. $15 for a house brand gin and tonic!. And they put a service charge on top of that. By the way, no cash/credit card only. There are many golf courses to choose from here in the desert. I will never play here again. Too bad because I have no issue with the course.
