Desert Island Country Club

My husband love this golf course. The staff is terrific, the Club carts are clean, the grounds keepers keep the course in top shape, and we love the challenge. The water placement can be intimidating, for a newbie golfer, but loads of fun.

And we finished the round in less than four hours!

Five stars, and highly recommend!

Nice course. Bag drop kid was welcoming. Pro shop staff were friendly. Found a great johhny O shirt 50% off on sale too. Hope to make it back.

Had fun at this course. Nice layout and interesting holes. The course was in great condition EXCEPT the greens. Greens were pitiful. Now sure if always like this or just a recent problem.

Overall an interesting course. Some of the holes are pretty basic. I think some of the yardages were overstated. About mid-round I wished we had played from lengthier tees. A couple of the holes are very intersting having to deal with both lateral and carry-over water hazards. I would play again

The greens are the worst I have seen there. Not a 150.00 course in my opinion!

Try it again next year maybe

First time I played the course. It was in excellent condition—tees were lush, fairways were green and well taken care of (filled divots), bunkers were consistent and the greens were amazing—firm and fast. The practice putting green could have had more slope to prepare you for the greens on the course, and the range limits distance to 190 yards. The course layout is excellent. Long par 3s (shortest one was 162, longest was 191). Lots of variety in the par 4s in terms of distance and shape. A real delight to play!

Staff was terrific. Layout is fine, except #9 which desperately needs some distance to the water signs. Greens were not in great shape.. Bravo for an excellent selection of tee boxes!

The course was beautiful with the exception of the greens. A little thin and bald in spots. But overall a great course to play. The fairways were plush and green!

On a separate note ordering food at the turn is not very convenient. They do not have a phone number to call ahead. They did have someone bring out a sandwich. My husband bought a BLT and it was $16. No chips were included. Next time I will pack us a lunch.

Wasn’t expecting the course to be this green in February. Beautiful short course . Low key, friendly.

Cart staff cleaned clubs but did not take to bag drop.

Call the club before you book and ask questions like, “When did you last punch the greens and do the carts have GPS”? When you’re paying that much for a round of golf you should expect a high level of service.
