Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - South/West
About
Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers 27 holes of championship golf. Divided into three nines: North, South, and West, the courses are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/West Course enjoys the snow-capped Mount Jacinto as a backdrop. Thousands of palm trees cover the rolling terrain and there are six lakes that come into play throughout all three courses. There are also strategically placed bunkers along the greens. The West nine's third hole is possibly the golf course's toughest. It's lengthy at 645 yards and it presents a challenging third-shot approach to an elevated, double-tiered green. The layout offers a few challenging holes but it is still quite player-friendly. In addition to the scenery and playability, another attractive quality is that a round can be played in less than four hours.

Current conditions
We always love the course but it still has holes closed from flooding. Caused delays and members cutting in line to get their extra holes in.
First 3 Holes were closed !
The first 3 holes were closed and this only came up as I was checking in at the Pro Shop. The service here was friendly enough, but seems understaffed or something. I loaded my own bags filled my ice chest and grabbed a wet rag all before I even saw the attendant. Its meant to be a Resort type course felt like going to a Muni.
Bypass This Golf Course
This has to rate as the worst course in the valley now. Management (Omni Hotel) appears to have no desire to maintain the course. Only 15 holes open due to flooding but it appears that no effort is being placed to fix issues. Director of Golf laughs and says if you do not like it here go somewhere else. Starters are no longer picking up clubs at drop off or assisting you to take clubs to car when finished. SAVE YOUR MONEY, Go elsewhere.
15 Hole Round
Was informed on checking in that only 15 of 18 holes at 27 hole facility were in play (assume one 9 was closed for overseeding) … was told to call GolfNow for a discount on my green fees ( easier said than done … could not find a phone number anywhere on GN web site … frustrating) … not the course’s fault … had a nice round overall … started seemed to be pretty grumpy …
Needs love
Paid full price when there are only 15 holes open! Fair condition and needs love!!
Course had several holes closed. Was not told until arrival. They guaranteed a refund from GOLF NOW but GOLF NOW representative refused refund even though we didn’t play. It was a thoroughly unenjoyable and unhappy experience. We may start booking directly with courses.
Nice course
Wished golf now woukd have told us only 15holes were open. Pro saidcto contact you for a coutesy rebate
The course was in great shape a little water from the snow melting but overall in great shape greens were very true medium fast fairways in great shape tee boxes good
First Timer
Immediately recognized how friendly the staff was. From the gate guard to the starter. Course was very nice. Greens were in great shape. Especially after the rains recently in SoCal. Would definitely come back for more.
Unfortunately golf now didn’t tell me there are only fifteen holes open , had had to skip 123 on the back nine. Would have given a 3 for overall and value if it was fully open.
Staff was excellent
Staff couldn’t have been more friendly. I called to let them know we were running late, and Jack in the Pro Shop couldn’t have been nicer. Starter was awesome too.
Thanks for a great day
Decent budget course
Unfortunately we were not informed that 3 holes were closed for maintenance until we arrived. Older course with poor layout and limited directional signage.
All in all an enjoyable low stress day in the sunshine.
Course recovering from flood damage.
Playable holes were in good shape but only 15 holes were available. At check in, we were advised to contact GolfNow for a discount credit. Good luck in contacting anyone to process a credit!
Good condition, but 3 holes were flooded out.
I have played this course for the 3rd time in 10 years. Staff felt a little bit colder this time.
Especially when the starter told us about the closed 3 holes, so we could not even made up anything to filled up ours scorecard. I guess they are not in business to please their customers. I guess I just don't need to go back there again. There are so many courses around the area.
15 Holes for The Price of 18
Upon arrival was notified that 3 holes were under repair and unplayable. Course itself was in decent condition.
