The National Golf & Country Club

With a 2pm tee time we managed to easily get in all 18 holes even with pace of play slow a few times. Nice course. You have to really pay attention to course management, especially with plenty of water.

I've played the National many timesover the past few years. Always a good value for Naples, but so so conditions. Well, I can day that the greens ran true at a speed of around 11. Better than Tib a few days earlier. Well worth a drive. Good for beginners at forward tees, and a decent challenge from back, especially part 3s.

I love this purse, unfortunately their rates are getting as bad as the rest of the course in SW Florida

I love this course, but since opening they have consistently raised their fees and are almost at a level that is in par with the rest of the greedy bunch that own golf courses in SW Florida. I used to play Three times a week, now thanks to exorbitant golf fees I’m down to once a week and thinking of selling our condo in Bonita Springs.

Bought hot dogs at the tiki bar, the problem being they were not hot, that’s right cold dogs. Secondly the beverage cart girl was more interested in her head phones and hardly paid attention to the customers. For the price and golf course trying to be one of nicer clubs , it has a long way to go.

As always, a fantastic round. The course is reasonably challenging with undulations, protected greens, and water on nearly every shot. There is a perfect variety of holes (a few driveable 4's, a few 430+ par 4s, 2 short 5's, 2 long 5's, a short iron par 3, a mid iron par 3, and 2 long iron / hybrid par 3, risk / reward decisions on nearly every tee shot and approach shot). The greens are immaculate and roll true. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

The one and only knock on the golf course itself: I wish they moved the practice area for the driving range around more. Whenever I hit balls, I'm hitting out of divots. I know that it's kind of what you get for a public course and its certainly better than hitting off mats but it's the one knock.

Besides the practice range, the course is amenity-lite. There are not yet proper bathrooms (though a couple are nearly complete) and the construction nearby can be an eyesore.

Everyone in Naples says “it’s too far”. Not for me! This course is great. Course is in great condition. Beautiful pro shop. Staff is super friendly. I usually go as a single and get paired with strangers but everyone has been so nice to meet. Course layout is challenging but approachable. Gotta watch out for gators but I’ll ply any day and anytime.

Nice course, fairways wide, greens in great shape. Overall a great experience.
