About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Resort style with a little bit more.
The course is somewhat similar to many Florida courses offering wide fairways, large greens and white fluffy bunkers. Unlike alot of courses though, Panther Run has a few unique holes which really improve your experience. The fairways were excellent, they maintain the sand traps very well and the greens are in good shape. The practice area isn't very large, but sufficent for warming up.
Amazing!
This Course is amazing! The hospitality is as welcoming as the greens. This Course was immaculate and nothing was left undone. There were three of us and it took us over an hour from Marco Island to get to the Course but it was so worth the long drive. We rented clubs (two ladies and one man, the clubs were Callaway and very nice clubs and because of the rental, we were all given a bag from Callaway that contained six Callaway golf balls. We loved everything about the Course and the welcoming Pro Shop, we will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Great layout
I started playing this course when it first opened in 2007, it’s been about 6 years since I was able to get back again. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the course has been maintained, it was in absolutely beautiful shape from tee box to green. I will certainly be back.

Great Course
Love playing Panther Run. Fairly wide open. Greens were good but had some areas of repair. Not uncommon in Fla. Includes a small bucket of balls at the range. Practice greens are in good shape. Would be nice to use the chipping and sand area to get some practice in but they are reserved for members. Played in 4 hrs on the dot. This was May 1 so lots of open tee times and the rate was cut in almost half. Great time of the yr to play here.

Tame the Panther
Good foursome with add on forth Charlie. Great guy. He had played Panther Run before which helped. Court was in great condition. Front nine greens have a fungus but they are working on it. Back was perfect. Played 3/4 tees which was fine but next time will play 3 tee. I'm a 10 handicap and shot 67 with my handi and net 77 so might need a little more challenge. Great value. Enjoy good pace of play.

Slow Play
Ridiculous slow play on the back nine. We waited on every shot. On the first par 3 on the back we waited 20 minutes to tee off, 10 minutes on 18, then another 10 minutes in the fairway on 18.
We saw a ranger on 10 who just smiled and waived.
The greens on the front nine are horrible, with patches everywhere. On the back nine they are better but left so long it is hard to get the ball to the hole.
I have always liked this courses but I am seriously disappointed in how poorly it is being managed.

Pace of play not great
Seems like they snuck a 4some out in front of us last minute because it was jammed at the tee and the pace of play was rough.

Nice experience at Panther Run
I’ve played Panther Run once a year as a Naples seasonal resident. It is worth the drive. I was able to get one of the reduced rates, which made it a fair value for this time of year. Course in great shape, has generous wide fairways. Traps are in pristine shape. Small bucket of balls included in price. Friendly staff before and after round.
