Cordova Golf Course
Pace of play was better than the last time I played this course. The greens were slow , but in decent shape. Overall a good course to keep your game sharp.
Not up to par
Weekend golfers were hitting random shots everywhere hitting golf carts and stuff. Price is too affordable so delinquents think it’s fun to get drunk.
First timer
Course has a nice layout and is great if you want a quick 18 holes. Finished round in 3 hours flat but had to skip one hole in order to get in front of 2 groups of extremely slow players. Would recommend mandatory use of carts to speed up play. Nice fairway and greens and lots of shade trees. Will play again.

Slow play
Overall not a bad place to play. Had a tee time at 1:30 for 18 holes but ended up only playing 9 due to the extremely slow pace of play. Waited at every hole for at least 15-20 min.
I would only recommend this course for tee times early or during the mid week. I would not recommend this course on weekends or afternoon tee times due to the speed of play.

everyone walked and pace was great. greens just aerated so slow. no big problem..

Gave this course a second chance
Gave this course a second chance simply because the price. The pace of play is awful, they have nobody on the course checking on the golfers. The guy in front of me was playing 4 balls off the tee all day. A group of 2 played the 3rd hole 4 times. Saw another guy slam his club into a stone tee box marker and shatter it. The place was just awful. I guess you get what you pay for. Even the guy in the pro shop was rude.
Value for working on your short game.
For the price and less than 3 hours to play 18, tough to beat, course is in good condition right now and I enjoy the people I meet here.

Iron play Heaven
I really enjoyed this course. If you need to work on your irons this is the place for you, lots of 150-200 yd par 3’s and tight fairways.

Not worth it

Contrasts
This course has a few holes that are unbelievably easy and a half dozen that are amazingly hard. Generally, a long 3 par has a green of some size: 5,000-6,000 sq ft. Cordova has 7 such holes with greens in the 3,000 sq ft range. A postage stamp green with a hybrid or three wood is a real challenge. The greenskeeper should lower the blades on the Fairway mowers a bit.
Cart price to high
Terrible fairways and tee boxes greens are fuzzy and slow. Backed up even on a slow day.

If you don’t mind playing in the rough...
I’m going to start by saying I got this course walking today for $6 after using a time credit. I had gone here once before and never thought I’d go back. But, it is a good course to walk and it’s dirt cheap. However, it’s one of the worst maintained courses I’ve ever seen. The fairway is basically like being on the second cut of rough. So woods aren’t going to work here. Weeds make up a majority of the playing area and it was soggy. But with the short par 4’s and a lot of par 3s it can give you the iron and wedge practice we all need. Even a par golfer would have a hard time keeping a good score as the conditions are so terrible it doesn’t matter how well you hit it, you’re in the weeds, literally. If they just mowed it properly it would still be a bit run down but a more playable course. Bottom line, I wouldn’t pay more than the $6 I did today or I would have felt very mad.

Good coarse to tweak your game. Greens were in good shape. Good value.
