Worst Course in the Sacramento Area
Honestly this course is a joke. It’s in very poor condition year round, muddy in the winter, dry as a bone in the summer. Additionally, the most frustrating part is the design. Whoever designed the course was dropped on their head as a baby. It is not friendly for amateur golfers at all.
The course moved slowly. I was usually waiting on two different carts ahead of me and also had two behind me frequently waiting on me because of the pacing.

Hone your skills
Great course for working on your short game (160 yards in) where most intermediate players struggle. The greens are in great shape, but the traps need new sand, and the lady’s tee is usually just a random patch of grass - not shorter grass on an elevated platform.

On The First Tee ....
My Buddy and I show up for a 7:40 am tee time promptly and on the box at 7:35 . The shop/starter on the intercom announced next on the tee this 4-some that had zero clue what golf hole or direction #1 was on. Seriously they drove on the tee box for #1 facing the beach hut deli . I wanted no part in confrontation, but the gentlemen behind my group couldn't hold back !!! I will always remember that . "There 250 in front of you hit the ball !" Course was in great shape . Greens were tighty . Bunkers were a Blast . Really nice on the way back up the rankings . 79

Good Course For The Price. Pro Shop Staff could be nicer. Beach Hut Deli Shop employees were very friendly.

Good Conditions
Best conditions I’ve seen this course yet. Greens were slow but nice and fairways were decent, good value for the money at $31 for a holiday.

Great place to practice irons but.....
Fun basic course and a Great place to practice irons but it has been poorly kept. The greens and fairways are way overgrown, both were cut the day I played as there was grass trimmings everywhere but it just too long and slow. It has been dry for a couple of weeks so it's not weather. I have played here over that past few seasons and these conditions are worse.

Greens Aerification Was Not Disclosed on Website
Only the front nine was open for play because the back nine was going through the greens aerification process. BUT, it was not disclosed on the course's own website and not disclosed on TeeOff.com or GolfNow. Also, the regular prices and not discounted prices were charged. The greens on the front nine which we played were already aerified and had so much sand on them. Last, the fairways needed mowing. It was difficult finding your golf ball on the fairways because the grass needed mowing, even though the fairways were quite dry.

Lack of disclosure
Have a back injury ao i thought id play a short 18 with not many long holes. I arrived to find out that yes, theres aerification alert, but, the entire front 9 was closed because of it. Also, there were 2 highschools there to practice. When i asked if i could go out early to play in front of the high school, someone walked out of the office in the pro shop to tell me that its only one group actually playing, the rest of the 30 kids are just practicing. I purchased a bucket of balls to hit while i waited for the "one group" scheduled to tee off got started. I then witnessed 4 more groups of 3 or 4 kids tee off behind that "one group" actually playing. I didn't even finish my bucket before i left and scheduled a tee time at another course. Dear Cordova Golf Course, PLEASE DONT SELL TEE TIMES DURING TIMES WHEN YOU DONT HAVE CAPACITY TO ACCOMMODATE PAYING CUSTOMERS! i understand its difficult to keep golf courses running in current times, but the effort of selling me a 18$ tee time resulted in losing a lifetime customer.

Not great
It’s a short course with a lot of long par 3s. the holes are close together and attracts bad golfers which means a lot of chances for stray golf balls, and the long par 3s make the pace of play crawl to a stop at certain parts of the course. Nice in the spring but too hard in summer and too muddy in fall.

Not everyone is a morning person I guess
Weekend AM opening staff is consistently rude. Like he'd rather not be there rude.
Not having enough electric carts doesn't help.
Help your guy out. Get more carts. Minimizing the bad news he has to give patrons would go a long way to helping everyone have a more enjoyable experience with the clubhouse staff.

Spring time course is great and green
The course is great in the spring time, as the hot summer comes along the course is still good but a little dried out. Plus they need to get more carts.
