About
Nestled in the southernmost foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Callaway Gardens was created in 1952 to preserve the local environment, from the native wetlands to the abundant forests of mature trees. Golf at Callaway Gardens is a unique experience in that you'll be completely submerged in nature and surrounded by wildlife. The resort’s two golf courses, Lake View and Mountain View, are challenging enough for avid golfers but they are scenic and playable enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. The Lake View Course is the original layout. It offers a slightly more player-friendly round with wider fairways and generous greens. There are more water holes on this golf course, nine total, including five holes that are routed along Mountain Creek Lake. The signature par-3 10th hole features an intimidating island green.

Rough is extremely penal on this course. Nice design, bunkers pretty hardpan right now.
Nice Course on Callaway Garden Grounds.
Fun course. Wet conditions. Snack bar not oddly not opened. $3 for a Keurig coffee in the Pro Shop.
Cart Path Only
Course was very wet due to heavy rainfall the day before our round. Greens were slow due to dampness but in condition. Overall the course was in very good condition. Lakeview Bermuda rough was cut to about 3 inches. If you miss the fairway, it’s a tough out and on occasion a lost ball. I always enjoy playing here as the staff is always friendly. We were unfortunate with the prior day’s weather.
fourth of July weekend
Played in 4 hrs on a holiday weekend! Which is great the layout is a good challenge with quality shots being rewarded and punished for being off line. Definitely I step down from the mountain view course so perfect for a mid to high handicaper.
Terrible Callaway Garden's golf experience
Lost 2 balls in fairway as fairways are unkept. Greens were recently punched but I was not informed of that when making a tee time. Very limited selection at concession and had to eat outside in the heat, all the while next to the big window lookng into the air conditioned dining room, filled with tables and chair's.
Excellent course
Beautiful surroundings and the BEST our US Flag waving high with pride directly at beginning of the one fairway. Great lay-out and good challenge with mist greens elevated. Very friendly staff Enjoyed playing here
Lake view
Overall a fun day out on the course for my family. We played Mountain View on Friday and Lakebiew on Monday. It is obvious they put more time and effort on Mountain View based on course conditions.
Lake view fairways needed to be mowed and the rough was definitely rough. Both courses had sanded greens which was disappointing.
It had been a long time since I played the course and it appears the overall course has taken a hit during the pandemic.
