Mountain View at Callaway Gardens Resort
About
Callaway Gardens boasts two different 18-hole golf courses, but it’s much more than just a golfing destination. Situated amid the southernmost foothills of the Appalachians, the resort was created in 1952 as an educational, horticultural, and recreational facility. The mission was to embrace the beauty of the natural environment and preserve the natural resources offered by the wetlands and forests. Playing either golf course you’ll be surrounded by pristine landscapes abundantly filled with native wildlife. The Mountain View Course is the longer and more challenging of the two. While it may not have as much water as the aptly named Lake View, the Mountain View golf course will truly test your shot-making abilities with narrow fairways tightly lined with trees and several tricky doglegs. One hole where you’ll encounter water is the signature par-5 sixth, where both the tee and approach shots are over water.

Golfer Reviews
Good course
Course was under maintenance and had to play lakeview at Callaway. Excellent greensfor this time of year. One cart per person unless family and you wish one cart. Fairways alittle rough but expected for april.
Not what it used to be
This course a few years ago was magnificent. The greens were already small but now a few holes are stupid small. Greens are in pretty good condition but they need to correct them soon. Fairways are ok for winter. Some of the upper tee boxes were just a mowed patch in the fairway- others tees were good. I was expecting the course to be so much better, but I was really disappointed. I’ll play the Lake course next time for sure
Covid 19 cup
For this time of year this course is excellent ! The staff of two during this Covid 19 are doing a fine professional job ,and I highly recommend visiting these guys ! Will be back this week isolating from. Virus ! Greg
Always great!
I’ve learned to expect nothing but great things in regards to Callaway gardens and that stood up today. Great course with a great layout. I look forward to playing here again!
Callaway Gardens Mountain view course nice day to play golf
fairways not much grass on them yet, but greens were in good condition. like the bermuda greens. like the course layout, challenging but fair.
Course in great condition considering the time of year and the amount of rain we have even experiencing
Great course
The course was in excellent condition for January great staff
Mountain course in November
Mountain view is good challenging course. The fairways were in good shape and the greens were rolling very fast. Overall, enjoyable course and it's a good deal for under $50 a round.
Past PGA tour event played here
Considering time of year played, course in very good shape. Not crowded at all when we played (mid day) therefore round was completed in less than four hours. Will b returning in the future.
Golf
I really enjoyed this golf course. It was in better condition than what I was expecting. I never felt rushed with pace of play. Worth the drive and price. Can't wait to play there again.
Great course
Nice little course nestled in the Georgia hills. Considering it’s mid-October, the course was in really good shape. Tee through green is well maintained and the greens are firm, making it a good challenge. Definitely recommend this track for the avid golfer.
