Just Horrible
The course is always in lousy condition. They need to pump some money into it like they did to Harding golf course. The city is missing the boat by not fixing the golf course up.
Worst staff EVER!!!!!!
The man that’s works in the shop is AWFUL!!! So rude and douchey!!
Literally we played there 2 days in a row and everyone we talked to said the same thing! Locals and visitors alike! He really needs to go!!!!
The course is great but there are no amenities. No clubhouse. No where to sit and snack. There’s a walk up snack bar window.
We went back in the afternoon and the gentleman in the shop at that time was great!!
Always a beautiful day at Lincoln Park GC!
Lance Wong and the staff at LPGC are always wonderful, accommodating and welcoming, the course is in great condition with the City Junior championship coming up! Such a great experience for so many young golfers to play and compete, even in a foggy day the beautiful views and clean fresh air and pace of play can’t be beat! If you don’t have great memories on this course you really should come multiple times and make some! The greens are running fast and it’s such a great walk and value! I highly recommend it and can’t wait to play there again!
A great practice course
Lincoln Park offers a very unique layout featuring slope, elevation changes, blind shots and varying atmospheric conditions.
Course conditions vary greatly and one can be rewarded with a poor lie from a great shot. It is a wonderful course to consider a variety of strategies.
Some incredibly beautiful views await, whether it be sunny or foggy!
Total body workout.
Unless you are under the age of 50 I would not recommend this course. You could try to ride a cart instead. The course is situated in a beautiful scenery overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. You also pass through the Legion of Honor. Having said that, I have never been so tired and exhausted from pushing a golf cart.
Please be aware there are many MANY steep hills. Rent a motorized cart if you are over 50 like me.
Fun times
Course was in decent shape for the amount of play it gets . Greens a bit slow but not bad . A great layout gives u challenges for hilly lies . Patches of brown fairways but not bad shape . Weather could go from foggy misty to beautiful warm weather throughout the course .
Good value course. Tough walk and expensive carts tho.
Lincoln park golf course offers interesting holes of beautiful golf. The value is good based on SF pricing for walking and shared carts which are nearly a must due to poor/outdated layout. Great views and good golf accessible to everyone. Average quality of upkeep.
Dog Track
Dog Track. Terrible conditions, no place to get food or drinks, car path only, unplayable lies all over course, not even a practice putting green. Holes not even marked properly. I got lost walking alone from hole to hole. People breaking into cars in the parking lot. The worst golf course I have ever played hands down.
Typical SF Layout. Tough Walk
The layout is typical of SF. Lots of hills, lots of side-hill lies. TOUGH WALK; do not try and walk unless you are physically fit. Overall course was in good shape for a Muni course. The greens were super shaggy, but that's expected for this type of public course. Great view of the Golden Gate on Hole 17.
Great Views, Short Course.
Don't let the poor reviews scare you away from this course. Great views on nearly half of the holes. Friendly staff. Good food.
Greens were a good mix of mid and moderately challenging, fairways were in decent shape, tee boxes were in good condition, bunkers were in good condition.
Tougher than it looks
Don't let the course rating or short total yardage fool you. It's very difficult for average golfers to score well on Lincoln Park.
It includes three par 3s that are in the 200+ yard range. Very hilly so you rarely get a flat lie. Many of the greens are diabolical with extreme slopes. It doesn't help that right now, the greens are also very bumpy and inconsistent. For lady golfers, the red tees are often just a few yards in front of the whites so not too much relief. You also need to navigate the many oblivious pedestrians just walking through the park while you're trying to tee off.
On the positive side, you can't beat the views, especially on 17.
Stay Away!
I was charged more even though I had a rate on GolfNow. The course is simply not in good condition.
