Golfer Reviews
Greens were rolling nicely
The course was in the best shape I’ve seen in many years. The greens were probably the best I’ve ever seen. Don’t know how long it’ll last. Lincoln is usually in questionably shape. Would be nice if the City would pump some money to it like they did Harding. $56 is kind of a lot for the course power carts way overpriced cart path only.
Great golf course
It was partly sunny day with a little breeze from the north. The proshop person was kind and had my round ready as expected. Very lucky with the random group. Nice people to play with. Good knowledge of playing real golf. The golf course was asexpected, very hard to walk for me a senior golfer trying to pretend still got golf game. The challenge was extreme but very inviting. Will play more this course.
Beautiful views and bumpy greens
I played on a gorgeous clear day with temps in the low 70s, playing as a twosome in a little over three hours. The greens were very bumpy and the fairways were shaggy and muddy. It was possible to lose your ball after a good shot in the fairway. He said he plays with bright pink balls specifically because of that issue. I enjoyed the round but I won’t be back anytime soon.
Definitely challenging, great site, improvements needed
Really appreciated the variety of the course layout. Significant change in elevation compared to other courses made it much more challenging and interesting. We clocked an elevation change of about 600 feet. There is quite a distance between holes, we recorded about 8 miles, 1-2 more miles than other courses. The facility appeared to have about 10 golf carts (most facilities have 40-80). Carts were not available when we arrived in the early afternoon. Expect to walk and plan to be in good condition to walk his course. We appreciated the additional challenge which added to the experience. The site Is on one of the most beautiful wooded cliffside spots in the world. You get glimpses of the ocean, Golden Gate Park, Marin, the Golden Gate Bridge and the magnificent architecture of San Francisco. The par 4s are a little shorter than others but given the huge change in elevation, it made sense. We played from the blues and found a couple of the par threes were in the 210-235 range.
The greens were in fair, fairways good and sand traps better than average condition. I enjoyed this course even more than Harding Park (which is immaculate), mainly due to the challenge it presents. Not mention it’s half or third the cost. If you’re in good shape I recommend you try it out.
Great course except no carts
Very fun course with a challenging lay out. Full 18 holes with somewhat shirt Par 4s, easily driveable. The green play fair but can break a good amount. Too bad no carts thought because the walk is quite long and lots of elevation changes. Make sure you wear comfortable golf shoes. I recommend to anyone looking for a inexpensive round of golf but amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge on the 17th.
Dog on Course
Only in San Francisco!
Who would bring a dog out on the golf course? When has it become acceptable to be required to play a round of golf with a person walking their dog while playing the course? Absolute distraction the entire round in addition to having no golf etiquette whatsoever.
Could not even enjoy a day out on the course with my sons regardless of our lack of golf abilities.
However if you enjoy playing golf with your dog this is the course for you.
Good view, bad condition
Just like everything else in San Francisco, this course is poorly maintained. But, golfers still come, thank to its nice layout and beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Great fun
A short old style parkland course with lots of elevation changes. Nice layout and a good walkers course. Course conditions were very mixed but this wasn’t a surprise. Last 3 holes are the standouts. 16 is a very long par three with some tough bunkering, trees close on the right and OB along left. 17 is more straight forward but also very long 230 yards approx. 18 is a solid par 4 to finish. Was put out in football at 8am and finished in well under 4 hours. Overall a fun and interesting public golf experience in SF.
Lincoln - Local Course
Surprised at how nice the course condition was. Greens were slow but overall fun to play. A bit more attention and this place could be a top course.
Greens punched while playing
Had Golfpass documented the hot deal was due to aeration, I would not have booked. It was a misrepresentation and I was told at time of checking, 30 mins prior to tee time. Too late to cancel and go elsewhere.
I’m disappointed - the greens were all sand, half poorly put together temps.
Very dissatisfying.

Aeration
Went to this course my first time and all the greens had been just aerated making the putting greens impossible to get a good clean put. Things like this should be disclosed at the time of purchase or least the cost to play should be cut in half
Just Horrible
The course is always in lousy condition. They need to pump some money into it like they did to Harding golf course. The city is missing the boat by not fixing the golf course up.
Worst staff EVER!!!!!!
The man that’s works in the shop is AWFUL!!! So rude and douchey!!
Literally we played there 2 days in a row and everyone we talked to said the same thing! Locals and visitors alike! He really needs to go!!!!
The course is great but there are no amenities. No clubhouse. No where to sit and snack. There’s a walk up snack bar window.
We went back in the afternoon and the gentleman in the shop at that time was great!!
