Great For Fun and Working on Your Game
The course is a great place to come and have a good time with friends or to work on your short game. Didn’t get the chance to hit the putting and range. The price is a little high for a Par 3 course. The amenities are GREAT. Perfect place to come play and have food/drinks. With friends. The amenities fortunately make up for the price. Again the $40 fee is extreme. Recommend using Golf Now Deals to play here. I could have played for $13 but could not book tee time on Golf Now.
Great New Spot in Houston
Happy to see another course pop up in Houston! 9 holes full of fun par 3’s. Two tee boxes. Longest hole plays about 145-155. Pace of play can be slow if Management lets more than 4 people play at a time, but usually it’s not too bad. It’s a bit overpriced right now, but I imagine they can drop the rate after making investment money back. Full driving range. Good putting green. Course is well kept (greens could be better). They also have 6 pickle ball courts!! Overall, a really neat, new place in HTown. Definitely a Saturday for the boys!!
Great Par 3 course
East River 9 is challenging short par 3 course, holes range from 80-145yds with two tee boxes on each hole for replayability. The greens are in excellent condition and provide plenty of challenge. You will rarely hit a straight putt outside of 3 feet. The course is fun and quick to play. Stay for the bar and the great views of downtown. East River 9 is a uniquely fun golf/bar experience in Houston.

Good for short game practice
East River 9 has a lot of potential with night play, a first tee that hits into the view of the Houston Skyline, a very good restaurant and bar, golf range and pickleball courts. The course is new, so there is still ground under repair in several places, but the difficult undulating greens and edges that roll off onto the fairway make up for the short par 3 layout .Worth the time if you want to work on your short game and have some good food and drinks after.

Sweet Par 3
This is a pretty sweet par 3 course. Great layout. Fantastic and challenging greens. Laid back. Fun.
Needs time
A buddy of mine and I went to go check this place out because the concept of playing under lighting on a 9 hole par 3 course sounded fun. We arrived an hour early and decided to kill some time at the bar. The wings we shared and drinks we had were great. The bartender was friendly and told us that the course had open two weeks prior.
We began at 5 and there was a little daylight remaining. The holes were challenging. Lots of hills to navigate through. Most greens are multi-leveled so there is no such thing as an easy putt unless you’re a couple feet from the pin. The walkway’s weren’t in good condition and most of the course you’re walking on grass which is fine. That little amount that was supposed to be paved was in poor condition. Holes 6-8 were in poorly lit areas because the light towers near those holes were not on. It’s also worth noting that it would be beneficial to bring mosquito spray because holes 7 and 8 particularly are right off the Buffalo Bayou.
My buddy and I finished the 9 hole course in about an hour and 15 minutes making the discounted tee time of $35 a person isn’t exactly what I’d call value. Without a doubt the best part about this place is the bar/restaurant and patio. It would be a great place to have a bite to eat and play in a group of four if you’re not expecting a great golf experience. It would also be a good place to let kids or people interested in picking up golf to learn.
I will likely be back, but this place needs some time to get its bearings. It has high potential.
