Course plays significantly into the prevailing South wind. Fun to play.
Quality Practice
What a great place. East River has everything you need for a solid few hours of range, putting and mid range playing. Great views and great bar. The staff is super accommodating and the food is good. Highly recommend.

Another Good 9 Holes
After not finishing our round last Saturday night before the lights went out, this Saturday we did! Course was in great shape except for the tee boxes and yet we did have the last tee time so I give a pass there. Still a bit pricey for 9 Holes and yet I keep coming back because it's in my neighborhood and the timing always works out.

Walkable Par 3 in Houston
Great views from the minute you walk in. Each hole is reachable from the tee forcing you to hit good lob shots and stay on direction. Greens are large and challenging so par golf is still the expectation even with a good first shot.
Course played about 90 minutes for a twosome behind a group of 6 so if you want to start early and avoid the heat you’ll be just fine

Love the course yet waited a lot
My wife and I intentionally got the last tee time so we wouldn't feel rushed by anyone behind us. Unfortunately, they were a bit backlogged, we didn't get on the course til 9:05 and 2 guys who had an 8:30 tee time got there late and played behind us.
Good- the course itself and the fact we can play at night!
Bad- Late start (9:05), we didn't get to finish holes 8 and 9, the fact we paid $52.50 each for our rounds and didn't get to finish because they turned the lights out at 10:30!!
The Worst- waiting for people in front of us, having people behind us despite us selecting the last tee time and getting stranded on the course in the dark.
SOLUTIONS:
1)LESS TEE TIMES.
2) IF PEOPLE ARRIVE 30 MINUTES LATE FOR THEIR TEE TIME, TOUGH! THEY DON'T PLAY.
3) REIMBURSE THOSE OF US WHO DIDN'T FINISH W/ A LARGE BUCKET OF RANGE BALLS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR.
4) MAKE IT CHEAPER ($25 VS. $50).
5) KEEP THE LIGHTS ON TIL 11- DUH!
6) DIM THE LIGHTS WHEN YOU WANT PEOPLE TO LEAVE SO AT LEAST THEY CAN LEAVE SAFELY AND EASILY.

Excellent
For a beginner or an avid player this coarse offers everything with all the trimmings. The greens are challenging and it a great round for short game practice. Plus the price is good.

Sweet!
I had a freed-up day and spotted a Hot Deal for East River 9, which I had visited while being built and looking forward to play someday.
10:30 on an August morning was pretty darn hot, but doable.
I enjoyed the greens, looking forward to playing from each of the tee boxes as they provide different angles and distances to greens with many pin locations.
I'm tempted to come back with one club (#6 hybrid) and 2-3 balls to keep it really simple and fun.

Great Par 3 Course
Course is extremely well maintained, everyone is super friendly! Greens do play fast. Hole number 7 is my enemy for no reason.
