Cherry Hills Golf Course

We hadn’t played Cherry Hills since before the pandemic because the course was in HORRIBLE condition! Staff deteriorated (friendliness and professionalism).

So we quit going.

We actually missed Cherry Hills and decided to try again. The staff is still unfriendly. The carts are falling apart (our brakes either worked or didn’t). We weren’t allowed to exchange it and were told we were “doing it wrong”.

Good news is: the Greens are fabulous!!!! The fairway greens on the first 9 were so much better than we recall but the back 9 fairways were still a mess with squirrels and gophers. It’s not safe to walk and riding is equally dangerous and rough.

We’ll take another break and check back later. As is, the rates are too high for a course that has such potential. Glad I had a discount!!!!

Just tried out this course via the daily deals. It’s not Torrey Pines, but the course is good for a $20 round. Greens and fairways were fine for the most part. The rough was….well, rough. If you’re looking to have an easy going round in a low pressure course, this place is just fine.

Most greens in good shape. Some turf disease on several. Fairways ok, but a few are showing very active rodent activity. Bunkers are the worst, if you even want to call them bunkers. Great fir a day out with friends who are not particular. Otherwise I recommend pick another courwse.

Recomminding I checked "No" but would explain why.

The only thing that was nice about this course were the greens. The rest of the course is pretty beat up and not in the best of shape. I heard they have new owners, so hopefully they can turn things around here. If you love your clubs I wouldn’t recommend playing here, especially if you miss a “fairway”. Most likely will not return, but good luck

Course is straight and long! Beats a lot of other IE golf courses in price and quality. Course is firm but not so hard you can’t take a divot. Bunkers are absolutely bad but not hard to stay out of. Fairways are plenty wide and roll forever

I recently had the opportunity to play at Cherry Hills, and I must say, it was quite an enjoyable experience. From the very beginning, the starter/attendant set a positive tone for the round. Their friendly and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home.

As I made my way to the range, I noticed that the conditions were a bit muddy. However, despite the less than ideal state of the range, it was pleasantly empty, allowing me to practice without feeling crowded. The range balls provided were of excellent quality, and to my delight, I even stumbled upon a few Pro V1s, which was a nice bonus.

Once it was time to tee off, the punctuality of the staff impressed me. We started right on schedule, ensuring a smooth transition from the practice area to the course. The cart assigned to me was a bit old, but it was well-maintained and in great condition. It provided a comfortable and reliable mode of transportation throughout the round.

One aspect that stood out to me about Cherry Hills was the course layout. It offered a great balance of fun and challenge. However, it's worth noting that the fairways were quite narrow, which added an extra level of difficulty to the game. Additionally, the course was bordered by houses, which added a unique dynamic to the overall experience.

Despite the narrow fairways and proximity to residential areas, I had an absolute blast playing at Cherry Hills. Some of the holes were truly unique, offering interesting and strategic shot selections. The combination of the challenging layout and the enjoyable gameplay made for a memorable round.

Overall, my first experience at Cherry Hills left a positive impression. The friendly staff, quality range balls, and timely start contributed to a smooth beginning. Although the narrow fairways and nearby houses presented some challenges, they also added a distinct character to the course. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cherry Hills and would gladly return for another round of golf.

This course in the shape it is in is only worth 20$

Green is a lot better. Fairways are trimmed nicely. Rough areas are trimmed also. Lesser gopher holes.

I recently played Cherry Hills golf course and it was much better than I expected. The fairways were mowed short and flattened out. The rough was not as long as previously. I only lost 4 balls after 18 holes. The greens were in great shape, except one.

Worth the low price found on Golf Now. :o)

It’s not Redhawk or Crosscreek but if you want to play 18 holes in 4 hours and on pretty good conditions come here. This course could use some TLC but the rain has brought the fairways tee boxes and greens to life. Bunkers are awful but it’ll just make you better.

This course is in the best overall shape in years. Hopefully, it will remain that way. Course layout is very good

Course was better under new management. Amount I paid is great even for the condition of the Course.

i know this course is more for practice but the greens (except for #14) are ok and the fairways/rough have been cut fairly well the last year or so. That was NOT the case for this round. The grass IN THE FAIRWAY was so tall that it was OFTEN hard to find my ball. The weeds just off the fairway swallowed up and concealed any wayward shot. TERRIBLE!! Spend minutes on almost every hole searching for balls--often unsuccessfully. CUT THE GRASS on the fairway and the weeds off the fairway.

The course needs to be better taken care of. Me personally I don’t like The long grass in many areas where I shouldn’t lose balls. I did like the greens but not all of them were taken care of. I felt like they didn’t care about some of the greens or they don’t have a crew to take care of the greens. Either way I will play there again becuz I live close by.
