What’s Happening????
We golfed two months ago after taking a 2 year break from Cherry Hills. Two months ago we saw great changes to the front nine. We had high hopes for the back nine at that time but they were still gopher controlled fairway.
On Friday the thirteen after two months, the course was a mess AGAIN. The tee off areas were 50% dead and hard to find (we hit from the red area).
The fairways were ankle breakers and I’m golfing with two new hips. If I fell, broke not only my ankle AND hip….I’d own the course. The owners can get rid of the gophers. Other local courses do.
And the greens, two months ago, were getting to a great review!
Oh yes…I forgot about the grounds keeper who needed to cut the fringe of the second hole and continued to do so while we putted.
REALLY!?!?!
On the thirteenth we decided to stop coming to Cherry Hills again.
New owners or not, please figure it out because locals love a GREAT course nearby.
This one is embarrassing ,
They have given up!
I occasionally play Cherry Hills when I want to practice under real course conditions. I often have the place to myself and can play multiple balls & different clubs & techniques.
Today was different. There were few "real course conditions" to be found. I have never seen a course in worse condition! It seems like the owners are preparing for closure. There was a worker mowing one fairway and the cashier in the pro shop. I did not see another living person the entire round. It should have been a clue when my car and one other were the only vehicles in the parking lot at 1:30 on Friday afternoon.
The tee boxes were un-mowed and looked more like a pasture. Some tees were not even marked (I just hit from where they used to be). Some fairways have giant dirt patches instead of grass. The bunkers, on the other hand, have plenty of grass. there were holes where you can't tell the bunkers from the fairway. Most greens were severely distressed. a few looked like dried, cratered mud puddles instead of grass. The rough hasn't been mowed in weeks or more. just off the dead fairways was 1' - 2' tall grass/weeds. Next time I want to practice off the range, I'll go out in the field behind my house. it's the same thing with a shorter drive.

We apologize for the poor condition of the course during your recent visit to Cherry Hills. We appreciate your feedback and are working to address the maintenance issues to ensure a better experience for all our golfers. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Needs lots of work
Greens - hairy
Boxes - hairy
Fairway - mowed with all cuttings dying on the fairway.
Sand - what sand

We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your visit. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to make improvements. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

I don’t understand how a course can be open 4 days. A week and the days they are open they closed at noon it’s a joke

We apologize for any confusion regarding our course's operating hours. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our services. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

Change the new marshal
Was a great day at Cherry Hills a little warm but for the most part was a good beautiful day only issue I had was The new marshal Rick needs to change his attitude, hard to work with. He's expecting Cherry Hills to be like the PGA on his first day not going to happen as much as I appreciate him trying to do that it's just not going to happen someone needs to talk to him and let him know that we've been going there for many years and that he's not going to change everybody in one day he needs to change his attitude and needs to be better with the customers

Thank you for your review of Cherry Hills. We appreciate your kind words about the beautiful day and understand your concerns about the new marshal's attitude. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will address this matter accordingly. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
Love the layout but need a lot of work 🥺

Cherry Hills is TRYING!!
The greens are in much better condition than they’ve been in the almost 6 years I’ve golfed there. The fairways on the first 9 are also better than before but the back 9 still need lots of help. The carts are very beat up and staff insist “you’re not doing it right” when you try to return a cart that won’t set its break unless you step on the pedal “just right”. I only gave 3 on golf pace because some people just aren’t considerate to the fact they are holding everyone else up with their need to stop play to discuss the hole they just finished instead of moving on. Next time we’ll call the Marshall and let them move the golfers along.
Worst course EVER
If i could rate ZERO stars I would. I chose to play here knowing it was a subpar course because I was planning on taking my son who is new to the game. Instead my wife and I ended up going as plans changed. The Marshall was clearly prejudice and extremely condescending and patronizing. We stopped playing at hole six and I respectfully shared my opinion of this “crappy” course and staff. This place should charge no more than $10 a round. Its like playing on a rock garden. I will NEVER in my life ever return to this establishment. It should be closed down and converted to a funeral or something. Also we were given cart 34. Im not sure if it is the only cart that dosent brake properly and just keeps rolling when you get out to hit a shot but i sure hope so(more than likely not). The seats were all torn and ripped , just overrall, a disgusting place. This is just one image of my drive down a fairway on a hot summer day, this was probably the best looking fairway that day. Do not consider this course.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our business. We apologize for any negative experience you had while visiting our course. We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we strive to improve our facilities and staff.
Practice Course
Good for practicing my fairway driving for the price I paid. Just be careful hitting out of bounce you could easily lose your ball due to tall weeds and or goffer holes.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize if you experienced any difficulties with tall weeds and gopher holes on our course. We appreciate your feedback and are glad that you found our prices suitable for practicing fairway driving.
Cherry hills
I like the course. It has it’s problems but I over look them 😉 Overall I like playing here and I have come back several times and will be back

We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Cherry Hills Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
You Get What You Pay For
Random puddles, over watered greens, gopher holes galore! They were weed whacking the traps, then turning over the dirt within them; so they were dirt traps that weren't raked. I had a couple of drives in the middle of the fairway that stuck their landing. Found a few extra golf balls hidden in some gopher holes. My parking break on my golf cart wasn't working. BUT...
the staff was very friendly, the course was mainly just doubles, so pace of play was good. It's a cheap course for a reason.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your experience. We apologize for the issues you encountered with random puddles, over watered greens, and gopher holes on the course. However, we're glad to hear that our staff was friendly and that the pace of play was good. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our course.
Gophers
If you can hit from the tee box to the green in one shot every time you might give it a better rating. They had a cart shortage. Came across one cart on the course. Dead battery. Tee boxes are lumpy. Dirt and gopher ville right off the fairway on every hole. Grass was ok on fairways but still a lot of gopher holes. Greens were nice, though a bit soft and slow. Sand was hard and unkempt if sand at all. Couple of water issues as in leaky pipes or drainage causing a few puddles. One bunker, one spot in between the tee box and cart path, and one more puddle on the edge of a green. All that being said they have the cheapest game in town if you can grab a hot deal on the Golf Now app. I paid regular price a while back and would not do that again. For a few bucks more than their regular prices and a few hours later in the day you can play some pretty nice courses. Been playing there off and on for the last twenty years and have seen it in great shape before. Hope they get it back together but right now it’s making me miss the North Course.

You get what you pay for
Per usual my cart died on the back 9. Every time i give this course a chance it just falls short. Only place where you can hit a ball in the middle of the fairway and lose it due to the numerous golfer holes

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and sharing the issue you encountered during your game. We apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We will work to improve the course and hope to provide you with a better golfing experience in the future.
Okay
Good for beginners but needs some extra TLC. And residents just jump on and play kind of annoying. Like I said good for beginners

We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Cherry Hills Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
