Cherry Hills Golf Course

I like the course. It’s not the best but not the worst. And for the price you can’t beat it. The man at the front desk was kind and respectful. I just love the game of golf and I will play here anytime I can

They literally sold online tee times but were not open. No signs. No messages. No one to answer the phone. Mail box full so can’t leave a message. But still selling tee time reservations on their website and on tee off

My neighbor called me on Wed afternoon and said that his travel plans to the Central Coast had been canceled and that we could play golf on Thursday if I could find a T-time. Living in South Orange County and being Christmas Vacation time for all the schools etc. everything close was booked so I found Cherry Hills listed at 11:00 am on Thurs that had two slots left, so even though a little bit of a ride, I booked. We got to the course about 30 min ahead of our time and had plenty of time to get golf ready and after checking in the starter said we could go whenever and so we did. We played from the white tees which on the card said it was over 6300 yds but due to wet conditions played about 20 to 40 yds longer on every hole except the par 3's. We expected the weather to be on the cool side but with the Sun was about perfect, starting out at about 60 degrees and ending the day at about 70 degrees. We had a good day of golf and could see where this course was pretty good in its day and could be again if someone invested some money into the physical layout, etc. Would not drive over 50 miles to play again unless the same situation that occurred this week happened again.

Forget other reviews, the only good of this course is a place to tee it up and hit the ball, find it and hit it towards a green hardly worth calling a green. Maybe putt out and go to the next stand of grass tee it up and hit away again. The place needs millions of dollars worth of renovation and the chance of that happening is zero. Too bad as the potential for a good course is still burred out there. Take it for what it is worth a place you can hit your driver and take a few mulligans because no one is going to care.

Played a two-some and had a blast. Let me get it out of the way that I have played on better maintained courses. But for the service we received, the personable staff, the pace of play, the course layout, and the affordable green fees, we would play here again. I recommend that the owners invest in aggressive maintenance and further beautifiying this course to make it one of the gems of Menifee.

Everything on this course was horrible. From the Driving Range (the practice balls included) to the practice putting green and the actual course was horrible.

The fairways were replete with holes and tall grass. Golfers were all around the included on the greens. Just horrible conditions at no time did we see maintenance workers on the course. We should’ve asked for our money back. So sad.

Poor fairways and greens. Too many gopher and squirrel holes and mounds.

Greens are slow and some have patchy spots on some areas and a few are extremely patchy. Fairways are not mowed and grass is hard to find. Ground squirrels have taken over. Bunkers are not maintained at all. If you want to just practice and bump the ball it is good for that. Was a great course at one time. Layout is still amazing and extremely long from tips. Wish somebody would buy it and bring it back to life.

I’ve left several reviews along with many others yet it seems like no one really cares about the course. It’s time for some new ownership with pride. The place has so much potential. There has been literally no maintenance on the fairways.

The prices just went up from 18.99 to 29.99 but nothing has been done. They really need to work on the course conditions.

All It would take is a little TLC for this course to become very playable. The course is currently in horrible shape. You can barely tell the fairways from the out of bounds. A little watering would go a long way here Also, bulldoze the out of bounds to get rid of the squirrel infestation. You cant even drive on the fairways without hurting your back because of all the squirrel burroughs.

Worse course I’ve ever played. I have not played there in over a year and I was very disappointed on how the course was maintained. I’ll never play there again until they clean that course up.

It was gopher hole city.Maintenance mowing dirt. Food was good. People are friendly. Lots of driver hole for people who like drivers. Putting greens sucks. Golf cart sounded like it was going to fall apart. 0/5 star please avoid. It needs new owners. Friends almost rolled their ankles being your ankle guards. Make appointment with your chiropractor after this course .

Great time of play today with manicured greens and mowed roughs. It's been a year since I played Cherry Hills and I'm glad to see that course maintenance is getting better.
