Beautiful Day at the Garden
Awesome 9 hole course. Plenty of challenges.
Hitting over or around trees. Flag placements.
Lots of opportunity to use several clubs.
Great place for lunch after or before you play.
Take advantage of what they have to offer.
Overbooked and too narrow
Of all the courses my friends and I have played, Sunken Garden was our least favorite. The course is very well maintained. However, each hole is super narrow and compact, you have to hit the ball straight every time. They overbooked the time slots and we felt rushed the entire time. The staff were walking around telling people to hurry up which made for a very poor/stressed experience. Will heavily not recommend this place
Relaxing and FUN
Great par 3 course. Greens have really improved over the last 3 months. Great course to get in 9 holes before work.
I'll give it another chance
My first impression wasn't a great one. We spent the first seven holes as a three-some behind a five-some, but then they walked off the course, probably to get drinks and the club's famous BBQ (which I haven't tried yet).
The condition of the course was a pleasant surprise. I had been warned the greens were in bad shape, but they have improved immensely from winter to summer. No complaints about their speed or roll.
The layout is tight where stray shots from beginners tend to cause some havoc. There are a couple compelling holes. I'll give Sunken Gardens another chance, but for what they charge, I'm not sure the course will make it into my playing rotation. Maybe I'll change my mind if I bring driver, which I didn't do. There are some risk-reward short par 4s that might elevate the excitement factor.
Great 9 hole
Fun 9 hole course, well maintained. Two par 4’s the rest are 3’s. Affordable, not too busy. Great bbq and bar on site.
Fun but sloshy in places
Super wet/sloshy in some places otherwise a great round of golf!!
