Worst course ever.
First time here and this is the worst course I have ever played but the staff was super nice. This course is here for socializing and not for any type of decent play, one green was actually playable, bunkers are dirt with a sand mixed in and the tee boxes are so chewed up its not worth hitting off them. If you want to play with friends and not care about scores or any serious practice this course is for you....
Disappointed
I thought I had scheduled a Sunday T-time with my son and son-in-law only to get a reminder on Thursday morning that my golf t-time was for THURSDAY while I am teaching in the classroom. I called and let them know something happened but they were no help and GOLFNOW has no way to talk to a human being to get a human's response. I will golf at Sunken Gardens again, but I will not be using GOLFNOW for reservations ever again.
Needs tlc
Decent place but needs some work around the edges. Plenty of mud and greens have some disease causing bare spots/holes. Staff is great and restaurant is good. Bar is well stocked and very friendly!
Good, cheap course
if you want practice your shorter irons, this course is for you. Not a lot of variety as far as different shots you need to hit but this typical, straight and decently maintained course is a good bang for the buck if you get a hot deal or similar. pace of play is standard for a short course, greens are in decent condition and fairly quick for a muni-type course. The on premise BBQ joint is decent but overpriced but the bar has a good craft beer selection.
Love the course
My one and only regret is that the greens are a mess. The superintendent has no idea as to how to fix the greens as it’s been in a state of disrepair for more than a year. The staff (Miles) is friendly and professional. Others are not so friendly.
The bar personnel needs an upgrade.
Fun Course
Fun course, but a few of the greens were in bad shape.
You need to get in a quick round? This is your place.
Par 29. Only 2 par 4's, both under 270 and drivable for bigger hitters. First green is pretty raggedy, although the rest of the greens weren't bad. The tee boxes are all varying degrees of beat up. I wasn't in the sand today so no comments about the bunkers, but they looked ok at a glance. Lots of trees, no water.
Lucky for me I got partnered up with 3 good dudes that made what would have been a bad round pretty entertaining. Collin, Brandon, Kevin, thanks for a good round.
Oh wow
The tee boxes were sand traps. The some greens were 50% dirt. Just off the greens was pure mud.
Pretty awful. Another golfer pocketed one of my balls.
Finished the round in 1:30. That was nice.
Grass is greener on the both sides.
Nice day to play with minor back up
No complaint Practiced with more reps involved. The tee boxes need some work but the fairways are well kept.
