About
Van Nuys Golf Course offers two options, a par-3 18-hole course and a nine-hole executive course. The facility, including the 27 holes plus a driving range, is the best value in the area for getting some practice, but its location just south of the airport means there will be the occasional air show, which can include interesting planes including WWII Warbirds and F16 Falcons. The Executive course at Van Nuys has a few lengthy holes while the par-3 course is great for short game practice. Both courses are gentle enough for juniors and beginners, so golfers looking for a formidable test will be disappointed. The golf course is open late though, which any skill level can appreciate, and both the courses and the driving range are equipped with lights.

Long time player
Love the course and staff is friendly.
Well priced for locals for such as myself getting out for a quick 9 or 18
Surprisingly “good”
The greens were in amazing condition and with the pace of play good, it was a great day. The only issue I had was the yardage of the holes. They should be more spaced out because most of the holes were almost the same distance.
Improvements coming soon!
Not sure if someone bought this location but a lot of new additions are coming. I can see more people working on the corse and adding new things by the end of 2025.
Do not play. Save your $$$
Everything was being redone for "new management." No liquor license. No pro shop. Entire course looks like a a sad forgotten backyard. Pace of play was slow because there were no official tee times or starters - just go whenever you feel like it. Not a collared shirt or belt in sight. I'd played this course years ago and remember having a nice time. I will not be going back.
Fun layout for short game but needs some serious tlc
Looks like they’re under renovation which is totally fine. But all the trash/beer bottles, beer cans, empty 12 pack boxes left out on the range? No excuse for that. It’s a 9hole par 3, how hard is it for staff to make sure people clean up after themselves?
My go to par 3 neighborhood course!
This ia an 18 hole par 3 (Par 54) course. The holes average 90-130 yards. It has some difficulties because some of the trees are making the fairway narrow. It is however easy to walk and the greens are in fairly good shape, There is always people that don't fix their divots and have a slow pace of play, but it's usually pretty good. Weekends can be a little crowded bin the middle of the day, so I'm trying to avoid that time. The staff is great too!
They have an Executive course as well + a driving range!

Great availability
This course great for beginners or experienced players. The fairways are rough, however the greens are good. Great place to get your fix.
Van Nuys Golf Course Becomes Gopher Farm
I'm 65 years of age. I absolutely LOVE GOLF!
I have been playing this course since my recent recovery from hip replacement surgery to get my swing back in shape.
I cannot believe how bad the course has become with nearly more gopher holes than fairway! My last 2 rounds have been disturbingly disappointing. Each round, I have stepped in gopher hole and injured my ankle and calf! It seems to be getting worse, not better. Is ownership doing anything about it? It does not appear so. Of course, the fairways are also sparse with green grass. Dirt and dry grass are nearly 50%
Heck, even the parking lot is worsening with potholes.
I have played this course for many years but as my game progressed, I play numerous other courses. Then came my hip surgery and I returned to Van Nuys golf course as part of my recovery, yet I have injured myself both times back because of the poor course conditions (mostly gopher hole issues).
Unfortunately, I can no longer advocate for this golf course until improvement are made.
