this is a classic course that has been updated to todays standards. New hybrid bermuda fairways, tees and rough. Bentgrass greens. No more poana. The new fairways are in great shape. Run off the drive and the greens roll great and are true. the course has been lengthen over 200 yards. The Tips are now over 7000 yards. This is a true test of golf. For long hitters the toughest part is the greens. If you are hitting over 300 yards off the tee you will still have trouble getting the ball close to the hole. There are several false fronts, bumper backs that can repel your ball back to the middle of the green or if you are long, you will have trouble getting anywhere near the hole on your chip. This is a course that you will never get tired or bored playing. If you fall asleep out here you will pay the price. Breaking 80 for a 5-7 hdcp is good. Par is an excellent score and if you get a hot putter, under par is very possible.

I'm currently an 11 Handicap...This course really gives me more of an appreciation for golf course design. This course has really humbled me a few times. It challenges every part of the game. But I feel the real weapon of the course is when you get near or on the greens...Seemingly well executed short game shots and putts can quickly kick you in the nuts and break quickly to an area on or off the green that you didn't even consider. Breaks are tricky to read and the greens can get really slick in spots. Robert Trent Jones did his job on this track!
