Woodley Lakes Golf Course

For a city maintained course, this place is in great condition. It’s also the only all grass driving range I’ve found in LA so far, honestly worth a visit just for that. As for the course itself, conditions were solid overall and the greens were in great shape, rolling true and well kept. The layout isn’t the most challenging you’ll find, but it’s a fun, playable track. I will be back to play it again.

I live on a private course in La Quinta but played here for the first time while I was here because it was close to my daughters house.

For a public municipal course it was great. Greens were soft and receptive with no roll, great if you want to chip or pitch close to the hole and stick the ball or shoot from 80 yards out and not bounce off the back . Fairways are wide and forgiving and in good shape. Great bar and restaurant. Good driving range and numerous chipping and putting greens. Will play this course every time I’m in town.

Course was very nice, and well maintained. Loved hitting off the grass at driving range. Nice putting and chipping areas.

Overall, excellant experience, with only two complaints. There is a lot of noisy, low flying air traffic, including some insane acrobatic remote control jet zooming over a nearby field that was impressive, but definitely distracting. May not bother some, but distracting for me.

The other issue was the person I checked in with charged me for a cart, even though it was included in my hot deal price. I showed him the receipt that clearly showed the cart fee was included. He said his system said it was not, and that my tee time was not a hot deal. He insisted I pay for the cart, and said I could talk to a manager during week to resolve it. Bad way to start a round, dealing with an unreasonable person who remained adament and unhelpful despite staring at the facts in my email receipt. Then on the first tee I found one of my playing partners had the same issue. The good news was a different person was there at the end of the round, and he rectified the error and refunded both our cart fees. Great guy. So all's well that ends well.

Check out the course. One of the better ones around. Hopefully management will take steps to get their system properly sligned with Golf Now to avoid the type of issues I had.in the future.

Sepulveda Basin and their Golf Courses have always had a problem with irrigation.. Lotsa Puddles and Mud Today.. I Do Like The Golf Course in General Especially Since It’s Wide Open for Errant Shots.. Good Golf Course For Say The Beginner As Well As Your Intermediate Players And a Good Scoring Golf Course.. Lifts Your Confidence Levels .. Good Value Too.. It’s Also Conveniently Located in the Middle of the San Fernando Valley ..

Everything was looking good but, when you think you might finish 18 holes and your other 2some tee off for the first time you learn that one if them doesn't know how to hit ball each hole was just lagging just want to skip but that was not happening I'm just saying try the range first that what it's there for...

Showed up a few minutes before my tee time and the course had given my time away. I watched he rest of my group play with a random because the course had given away my tee time. The course kept basically got two green fees for my time. Lame

Been a while since I made my way to the Sepulveda basin golf. It was a fun afternoon teeing off at 3:40 and putting out on18 in almost dark at 7:50 or so. Pace of play is hit or miss here so glad we finished, particularly on a Friday.

Tee boxes were actually quite level and good coverage. Fairways fair and firm with decent coverage. Rough is really non existent here but the issue is the crab grass and random weed type plants sprouting about. Was never in any sand. I noticed the fairway bunkers on 8 and 13 are roped off and they’ll probably just get rid of them like some holes on Encino/Balboa. The greens are almost recovered from aerification. A tad slow and not holding lines too well but it was a fun day out.

First time playing Woodley Lakes. Straight forward, flat with trees and somewhat open fairways. Not too difficult. The greens were in good shape after being punched several days before. Great value! Will play again.

Great course and facilities. The course if fun and challenging while the bar/Resturant is a fun place to eat, drink, & hang with pals after a round of golf.
