Sapelo Hammock Golf Club

I only gave it 4 of 5, but I would give it a 4.5 if I was able. The tee boxes need work. Other than that I loved this course. With that said the par 3 tee boxes were good.

I would completely recommend and also look forward to playing here again.

Course was in amazing shape. Greens were fantastic, a little fast but once you figured it out, man. Will definitely be back

Love the course, staff, and everything about the place , yes of course there are small issues, but it's usually maintenance, ie. Tee boxes under repair, , top dressing of greens but don't be picky this are always on going maintenance. Which is nice to see, if you play a course that doesn't address maintenance issues it's probably a dump

This place is not a dump.

I thought the course was in great condition. The day I played I was told that the greens had just been top-dressed and there were also signs posted. I still rated the course conditions as a 5. Top dressing is a necessary evil (automatic 2 putt). I do wish that the gold now app was aware.

Loved the course and the staff. Very nice and beautiful place to play. The course had some interesting holes. The only down side was the cart paths. They were just dirt and rock so you got bumped around a lot. I saying that it was still a great course to play.

Played Sapelo yesterday and enjoyed the round. I know the course well so it played as I would expect. The greens has been aerated a while ago and you could still see dimples. Even so the greens rolled true and speed was as expected.

Definitely recommend this course.

Nothing bad to say at all about the course or playing conditions. The range was being mowed and wasn’t available until after our tee time and the kitchen was not open, however they had the trusty dogs at the turn and the bar made excellent drinks. Will be coming back and will be recommending this course to others. One of the best courses I’ve played in southeast Georgia

I am just finding out from my wife that Ian was charged $50 for a hot deal for Wednesday am at 8:00 on the 18 of June. I booked on the 17th evening. When I got to the course I was charged another $30. I didn’t say anything since the last time I used GN at sapelo hammock the club house attendant insisted the the fee on golf now was to hold the tee time!. I’m comfused. I have the bank statements if need be. This is about principal

Very good condition considering very heavy recent rainfall. Much better layout than public accessible courses in Savannah area.

Course has a beautiful setting and both 9s have great finishing stretches! However, the greens were like putting on the plinco game on the price is right!! That would be fine if the staff had informed me of that PRIOR to me booking my round. Rather, I found out on the first green!!!

I paid over $130 including rental clubs and this was simply not acceptable. Communication is essential in these situations and they failed.

I love the course however the staff are not very friendly. I drove an hour to get out here to use a rain check for them to continuously. Tell me that I had to buy another 18 hole option to be able to use my nine hole rain check. The staff are not consistently trained and what the options are to tell people as they buy their packages out here. They also don’t mention that you have to be paired with a group on the weekends until you get here.
