Great first experience
This was my first time at Penmar, and I really enjoyed it. We were in and out in about 2.5 hours, which felt about right. My buddy and I were grouped with three others, and nobody was a star player or anything, but we all had fun and kept the pace up well. We only had to wait for a few holes and even then the wait wasn’t bad, and the group behind us never felt like they were up in our business.
I love that you get to use the driver here. There are plenty of longer holes. I thought the grounds were very well kept and the workers here all seem to take pride in the course. I booked another tee time as soon as I finished. Heading back next week.
A pleasant user friendly course
Penmar is a nice 9 hole course where you can finish in to 2 1/2 hours.
Pretty nice course with the worst pace of play I’ve ever experienced
Pros:
- For the most part, it’s a pretty well maintained course
- Nice staff
Cons:
- Greens are either meh or great
- Literally had to wait at least 10 minutes each hole and close to 25 minutes on one hole
- Was only able to play half a round before it got dark even though I booked a tee time 1 hr and a half before sunset

Awesome day and conditions of the course. The group in front fell behind and was struggling with a lesson being given. Young player
Great weather and nice staff
I really love the ocean breeze. It does factor into how you play the game. However, this course is wide open and it's fairly simple. If you're a intermediate player. Enjoy your round

Course in remarkable shape for a daily fee course opened year round. Grass in good shape. Staff was pleasant
