good
Challenging course with lots of obstacles but taken care of very well. Marshall was very active and present during our 18 holes. Loved our time here and will definitely will play here again.
Nice course to get some swings in - in pleasing surroundings!
Course conditions are well taken care of for the traffic on them.
Greens are generally slow slow slow - so if you normally play on relatively quick greens these will give you fits.
watch out for having any kind of bagged snacks in your cart, or bag..because the local animals are not shy at all about going into your cart, basket, or even your golf bag, and tearing through AND TAKING THEM OFF!
Not very funny if you are hungry...LOL
Decent golf, decent price
Typically really slow round here. Ok course. Bumpy greens, but fun and close by.
Nice, pretty short, public course. Decent conditions, friendly staff
This is a fairly short (even from Blue) public course, with fairly generous fairways. Some holes both 9s have water hazards, but trees lining the fairways are not too tight. Greens are decent. Pace is not always great (weekends), but it's short enough to get in your round in 4hrs. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
great place to play golf!
I like playing this course with it's wide open fairways and nicely maintained greens.
The water hazards are totally makable and for a advanced beginner like myself, it's nice to make the shot!
I had a great time playing the course!
Nice course for a quick round of golf.
Good price to get a nice round of golf in. Not sure if I got lucky but played 18 in 3 hours with a threesome. Not bad.
Great for the price
Shorter course only a par 67 but was in great shape slow greens but overall fun course! Only suggestion is they should have black tees the blues play like whites
Good Short, Easy Course for Practice
I play here quite often. I like that it's cheaper than the other courses at twilight and if it's fairly open, you have a shot at a 3 hour round. It's a short, easy course (par 67) and is good practice for short irons. I don't think I ever need to hit more than a 7 iron. This is a con if you want to play a challenging course, but if you want to have a quick fun round and work on the driver, short irons, and short game, it's perfect. The course is always in good shape. Since it is a short course, you'll get a lot of poorer amateur players which can slow it up, but for the most part, people try to move at a decent pace and I like that they do always staff a Marshall, which unfortunately seems to be a dying trend at some places.
Well maintained course.
Moderate difficulty. Enough hazards to be challenging but fair. Perfect for game improvement. Challenging water hazards. Great staff. Might consider having beverage cart more often than Fri - Sun. Good food.
Easy to play, but three holes are challenging to play
Have played this course 3 times before, and have enjoyed playing it every time. The course is well kept. The only bad thing I have to say about Saturday's play, was that we were behind 2 groups that were taking there time and it took almost four an half hours to play. Will play again..
Rough first outing but would try it again.
I reserved a tee time for 10:45 through GolfNow. I showed up around 10 am, checked in, was told that I would be playing with a twosome. I then bought a small bucket of balls to hit at the driving range. After I was done hitting, I went to get my cart, only be told by the man in the pro shop that I should have already teed off. The problem was that it was only 10:30a and they never announced me on the tee.
I was bit annoyed to have missed the first hole, having to catch up the the twosome with whom I was paired. Everybody makes mistakes so I'll give it another chance.
This course need to be cleaned up on Tee-off.
There is no worth to write anything about this course. I'll not recomend this one to any body.
Duck Doodoo Heaven
If you like playing a course literally covered in duck doodoo, this is the place for you. Difficult to even lay a club down without getting it in doodoo. Add the big globs of Canadian Geese doodoo and you have an idea of what the conditions are like.
Nice course for a quick round, fun and not too difficult
I play this course a-lot during the week to get in a 3-1/2 hr. round before heading home. It will be slow on weekends and prime hrs though. I like it because it's a traditional course that the newer courses have gotten away from, there are no cliffs or rattlesnake signs on this course. Even though it's a shorter than normal course there are a couple decent par 5's and fun 3's and 4's. Some of the the staff could be friendlier. Driving range but mats only. Chipping area is not good. Putting green is fair. It's a par 67 so if you want to break 80 this is a good place to do it.
Wish they could humanely remove or relocate some of the ducks
We love this course, but we are hearing of and see the ducks getting hurt and/or killed. It's distracting to have to watch every step you take to avoid the droppings.
Fun & Fast
A great par 67 and lots of fun to play. The staff are all very cool and you can always make a birdie or two while putting on their well kept greens. If you have a chance to play this course, go for it!
this golf plaitic course
This nice golf course for plactic. take a JR golfer and same time you can hit all Irons for good. only one if you in tee line watch those rot . ask your friend to use his club.
Great value for money as we paid just under $1/hole. Shortish park land course with low hazards bar bunkers and my partners erratic shots.
Westlake is a forgiving course and good to play when you want to get your score down. Golf Now had an excellent $17 (with cart) deal that I quickly grabbed up and we were joined by 2 other Golf Now users....both very friendly and decent golfers. My golf partner did almost scare them off by tee'ing of on the first into a tree stump which ricocheyed over our heads and ended up suprising some golfers on the practice putting green. The friendly Marshall was good enough to return the ball as it was far to embarrassing to collect. Things got better after that bar some of the bunker incidents. Westlake have made some of the bunkers - steeper (not quite St Andrews) but challenging if you are near the edge. Some of the par 3's (too many now) were a bit short and disheartening that despite the short distance you end up with an 8 (thanks to the afore mentioned bunkers). All in all good value.
Great course for practice
Great course for practicing a variety of shots. Easy to walk. Staff & people are friendly & courteous.
