I really like this course. Very close to home. Pro Shop Staff is very friendly and the Tavern staff is awesome. The only negative experience I have had at Towne Lake is the attitude of the curmudgeonly Starter. I don’t want anyone to kiss my Rear, but would appreciate someone making feel welcome. It’s a $70.00 plus round and a little hospitality would go a long way. That Starter Guy should not be around anyone.

Never played here before so figured me and a buddy would give it a go. Was a bit disappointed when we arrived early to warm up on the driving range only to find it doesn’t open until 11am on Tuesday. We talked with the Starter and the pro shop. Both very helpful and friendly. Close to our time the Starter asked if we wanted to pair up with the 2 guys in front of us. Wanting to discuss a little business we declined. Off we went. Course was in great shape and I was pleased. Slow pace with a foursome on our heels who rolled their drives into us occasionally. On the fifth hole cart Ranger came and asked us to join the 2 guys in front of us. We indicated that we preferred just staying as is. He pretty much insisted we do so and we reluctantly obliged. This absolutely did not speed the rotation up and IMO it slowed it down and the group behind us was hitting uncomfortably close to us at times. Other than described above this is a pretty nice venue. Will definitely be back soon.

Course was in good condition. The only complaint I would have is people ahead of us not repairing ball marks. The greens are super receptive and soft while also being pretty fast which was great. Definitely going to be back soon.

Played an early round on a Friday. Course layout has some very traditional holes (long straight par 5s, Par 3 over water, etc) and some intriguing holes (the hard left turn on a par 4, Par 5 green on a bluff). We had a great time. Moderate difficulty - definitely wants you to think about your shot, but doesn't punish you (except for our pin location on 8). Greens were VERY soft, likely from all the rain lately, but that helped our scores as the ball stayed on the green. But even still, there were a couple of really interesting breaks that made it fun. We'll be back.

Another nice round at Towne Lake golf course. The course is in average condition for this time of year with some of that tee boxes needing attention. The fairways and greens are in good condition but would be so much better if people repaired their divots and ball marks. This seems to be a problem at just about every golf course. The staff at the clubhouse are friendly and the car Carroll came around a couple of times. There are water coolers located around the golf course which is appreciated and the bathrooms on the course itself are well-maintained even though I have played this course before I just noticed that the total for the back nine of the blue and white tees is the same. Just a misprint as they both have 3109 yards.The whites for the back nine total should be 2879. A good day and I would recommend this course to anybody in the area but I would definitely not want to walk this course as it is pretty Hilly

I grabbed this tee time on Saturday. We started on time thanks to a very efficient and friendly starter….every club should clone her. The course was in good shape (a little rough around and on some cart paths). The greens were good considering the heat and humidity. The tee boxes were “well used”, by fine. Would definitely play again.

We played our round after significant rain the previous two days. The course drained pretty well so we were "throwing darts into the greens". The greens were rolling pretty well, however, the folks that teed off in front of us did not fix their ball marks at all! Bunkers need some work but it had rained a lot so I will give them a pass. The staff was great. Overall nice experience. We will be back!

My group was one the range prior to our tee time and once our tee came was close, we made our way to the first tee and the Marshal told us that since he couldn't find us, they let the group behind us tee off when we showed up to the tee box on time. The Marshals never tried to find us when we were on the range and was little communication. Once we came through, it felt like I was being talked down upon by the Marshal and really put me in an off mood especially after spending a fair amount of money to play at a more "premier" course.

After that initial experience, the rest of the round was really good from the staff to the course. Would definitely come back but maybe the course staff needs to be a little better prepared to communicate to groups before their tee time.

Overcharged for the amount due at course. Only able to play 6 holes, went in for a rain check and was agreed with by the pro shop over the amount owed. More stress than it’s worth.
