About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

The course condition is good, but the Detty box is a bit disappointing

Less than friendly staff/obsessed with pace of play
Got off to a poor start when I was forced to give up my cart and share one with a stranger (employee wouldn’t even look at me when telling me to do it, did not pose it as an ask). Second, the course is obsessed with pace of play. A group of rangers (like 4 or 5) circulate the course at all times. They ask that you are always half a hole behind the group in front of you. We adhered to this and thus we’re waiting 3-5 minutes to hit every shot… Tee boxes and fairways were in poor shape. Overall poor experience due to employees, course rules, and course maintenance. Would not pay $60 to play there ever again.

Great track
Played early morning, very wet in the morning but sun dried it up quickly. Even with wet conditions, greens were great. I will be back

The weather was perfect, our 2 playing partners were nice & cordial. Our only comment was the fairways & areas near them still didn't appear to be in top notch shape yet.

SLOW! SLOW, SLOW!
First of all I called to see if my son could join us and they said no because we were already paired with a twosome. When we got to the course we weren’t paired with anyone. The pace of play was so slow. I talked to a group in front of us that were members and they said it was like this every day of the week. I was a member there several years ago and loved playing there. I was very disappointed.

An ok course
It’s an ok course. Know that most green slope front to back and are usually quick and undulating.

Town Lake
With the amount of play the course sees it was in good condition. The fairway grass has not thickened so there were many bare spots and real tight lies in the middle.
The greens played looked and played well.
I liked they had rangers out keeping the pace of play going.

This is a really fun not easy course. The greens were in very nice shape. A bit slow due to recent aeration. But they rolled true. You need to plan out your shots. I played the gold tees and had a bunch of fun. Pace was a bit slow but I played as a si gle so it is what it is.

Some fun holes on this course. Tee box need some love but overall a really good course.

Great course but on construction...
Great course with hills and beautiful lakes. Unexpected course make the play more interesting. However, there is still a construction for cart path renovation and makes players feel unsafe.
