About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Blind Shots!
This is a tough course. Really cool layout. A bunch of blind shots, so we were really grateful to have been matched up with a few local members to show us the way.
Challenging
The course is in very good condition and I find it very challenging with some narrow tee shots, tough lies and fast greens.

Played Sunday afternoon. Got a hot deal on Golf Now $49. Seemed crowded when we to there due to earlier event however pace of play was just fine. Staff was friendly. Have not played here for a couple of years.
Fairways were hard. Grass still very thin and some bare spots.. Summer grass has not come in yet. Greens were good as I have almost always found them here.

Better, but still not as good as it used to be. Tee boxes still in horrid shape compared to other local coursss.

Not great
No carts available. Staff acted put out when asked about them. Starter needs to learn some tact. Started late and had to wait a lot every hole. Played 4 1/2 hours only got to 13. Tee boxes were terrible. Greens okay. Not worth $50 to play at 3 pm.

Nice course
This is a nice course north of Atlanta. The front nine is tighter than the back and many fairways slope making accurate tee shots necessary. The greens and bunkers were in great shape. I played with a regular who complained that the course has been very busy lately and the grass is thinner and more worn than he's ever seen. The staff is great and the restaurant is major step up from your local public course. Worth the time and money to play here.

Course in Great Shape!
This course was in great shape, even considering that it got hit with six inches of rain three days ago.. Greens were perfect and rolled true. Pace of play was good, never once saw the group behind us, and I was in a foursome. The beverage cart carries liquor, what else can a guy ask for?

Slow pace of play
Nice course and decent greens. Don’t go if you have anything else to do that day. The marshalls were there but didn’t feel like they kept things moving. Got a lot of hills so for me as a newer player was somewhat challenging.

One of my fav local public courses
Great course, especially if you get a hot deal! Pricey on weekend but overall one of my favorites in north Georgia

Hard and fast
Course in overall good condition but dry fairways which are extremely hard leaving lots of unfavorable lies. Greens very hard as well and not very receptive. Course difficult for an average golfers.

Towne Lake
Bridgemill is a much better course. More bang for the buck. Seems like we were hitting off of Hard Pan much of the day.
