Played it hundreds of times...great friendly staff

The layout is amazing. Conditions were excellent. I'll keep coming back

Course was in nice condition with two exceptions:

1. Time of the year but they need to have more blowers

blowing leaves. Lost 6 balls in the fairway or first of rough under leaves.

2. Should remind golfers at check in to FIX THEIR BALL MARKS!!! I probably fixed at least a half dozen on every green. All very recent!

Nice course, greens, for the most part, in very good condition, some excellent. Interesting layout. Staff very friendly. Will play here again.

We really enjoyed our round of golf at Towne Lake Hils. Our past rounds there have been in the winter (we are "snowbirds") so it was nice to play the course when it was still "green". The fairways were nicely manicured and the greens rolled smoothly and true. The pro-shop/dining room staffs were courteous and helpful. We got a great GolfNow rate with an added "Reward" discount to boot. Looking forward to our next visit to Towne a Lake Hills.

Played on a cool Saturday morning. Had the place to ourselves. Course conditions were excellent, but it did not appear they have/use leaf blowing equipment at all. This was a drag on pace of play. Over seeded fairways and greens had come in full. Good pace on the greens but perhaps too soft (had a few balls plug). Only played once before and did not have fond recall of this course. Quirky lay-out could grow on those that play it often. Could be a much better track if they would take out some of the bumps and knobs in the fairways. Sorry Mr Hills (my dad's fraternity brother) but 18 is just a bad hole.

Was able to get out here in early November with my brother on the end of a vacation. Course was in great shape, very well maintained and fast greens despite some light rain. The course is beautifully tree lined with a lot of sloping fairways and tricky approach shots to greens. This course is well worth the 42 dollars we paid

Course was in great shape. Pace of play was slow with having to wait 90% of the holes. Did not see any marshals around to get play sped up

Good round of golf on a course that I like on a perfect day.

Loved playing this course. The layout was challenging enough to keep my attention and the greens were in fantastic shape and fast compared to what I normally play,

Fairways in good shape

Greens are recovering from aeration very soft and a little slow but no issue with putting

Please repair ball marks so all can enjoy when it's time to roll the rock

I would definitely say this course is worth a visit. The staff at check in and the Rangers were super friendly. Mostly had the course to myself. Tee boxes and fairways are in great shape. The greens not so much. Lots of pitch marks; they were soft and spongy. Also, the grill was closed by 5 pm on Sunday.

Played on one day notice and got a 9am time....pace of play was a bit slow for early time but it is a tight layout so keep it in play.....lots of irons and hybrids off the tee for our group. It is good for the price and staff was very nice and helpful.

I have played this course many times, but never reviewed it. The course has some narrow tee shots and certainly has its fair share of challenging holes. Elevation changes will challenge your club selection but I think that makes it more fun than a flat course. The greens were recently aerated but they still ran fast and true. Drawbacks? The bunkers are not maintained on a regular basis so you may need to rake a spot and then place your ball as if the bunker was raked in the first place. And the cart paths are abysmal. They need to be torn up and replaced. If you don't have a bad back before you play here, you certainly will once you leave! Overall it is a good course for around $50 and it has a nice pro shop and a nice restaurant if you want to get a burger or a beer after your round.

Difficult course unless you are an above average golfer or a very long hitter. Too many forced carries that make the course NOT fun.

Greens were punched and holes were NOT sanded in and your putts never stayed online. Wait until second week of September to go play. This WAS NOT noted on Golfnow.com. FOLKS FIX YOUR BALL MARKS!!!!!
