About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Tucked into a neighborhood, this course had everything a golf wants or needs!
Walking is not for the faint at heart
Just what I was hoping for!
Very happy with my time on the course overall. I’d definitely play here again. Pace of play felt a tad rushed, Marshall came up in us a few times. We finished our round in just over 4 hours but often felt like somehow we were slow. It didn’t impair our ability to enjoy ourselves overall! The only thing that might have been nice would have been a map of each hole versus just the greens info. Especially never having played here before.
Gone down hill
Obvious they are not putting any money back into the course. Tee boxes were horrible, greens slow and poorly maintained. Tavern was very nice, good food and great service.
Ranger John is the Man!!
The staff is always friendly and keeps things enjoyable.
Great time
Had great time. Course was in really good shape. Greens were tight and rolled pretty quick as day went on. Will definitely be back. Price was good $58, compared to other courses in area.
Blind holes
There are to many blind holes where you cannot see the ball land off the tee. 5-6 depending on tee box location. If you are not familiar with the course it is easy to lose a ball not knowing the course. Not very forgiving if you don’t hit it right down the middle of the fairway.
Way overpriced
Paid 75.00 for poorly mowed fairways, bald spots on fairways and leaves in rough making it hard to find the ball
Nice course
This course is kept in good shape and the people who work there are all very nice.
Difficult and Could Use Some Updating
It feels old, run down, and missing a few basics compared to a lot of other courses in the same basic price point. Fairway distances are not marked well (with no GPS in the cart either), gas carts are loud and very basic without even a card indicating where the pin position is for the day (the Ranger came by and didn't know the day's pin placement either), no ball washers on the course until about the 16th hole, no water on the course or cart girl/guy, pro shop looks like it was last renovated in 1984. The course itself has a lot of blind shots and very hilly. Also, a lot of hazards. I played it last a number of years ago and remember it being much nicer.
