About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

High and Lows
We played on a sunday so expected it to be a long day. Was just unfortunate they oversold the course because there was not enough carts and we had to wait 10-15 minutes which made us have to rush driving range session before playing.
Course layout was good greens were good condition. Par 4s are short easy to score low. Par 5s are a little longer but not too hard. So a fun day there.
Only complaint was having to wait due to the course being oversold. If I return it will probably be a week day.
Should for sure be a $60-65 course not $80..
Going downhill fast
Not worth anywhere near $58 to play here. It was looking good at the beginning of the season but the greens are falling apart. About 7-10 were so patchy that it was pointless to even “read the green”.
A few tee boxes were getting bad too.
The $42 deal here is all I’ll come back here for, if that.
Not bad Decent..Ok. Many putting greens need work.
Not bad decent. Many of the putting greens in bad shape. Staff Pretty good.. .Landscapers bit rude and seem to lack approach ettiquette.
They tend to be a bit nicer at sister course at Bridgemill. Have a good one.
Great course for the money
I’d take this course over any other in the area for the money. The course was in good shape and the people were nice. Only blemish was a threesome 2 groups behind us calling us out because we stopped at the turn for beers and food. They thought we skipped them. That was annoying, but didn’t ruin our round.
Improving
Even though the tee boxes on a lot of holes are still in poor condition, they’re working on getting them fixed. Other than that, the course played really well, greens even after being punched within the last handful of weeks held the ball well and rolled good!
Better than ever.
It has been several years since I played here. Course has improved greatly. The greens are fantastic. Fairways very good. Tee boxes very good. Bunkers in great shape. Tough from the blue tees. Challenging layout. The restaurant staff was very nice and food was good. I will be back in the near future.
Favorite course
TLH has become my favorite course in the area. The staff is friendly and efficient, they have rangers driving around to prevent any problems with slow play (or other), and they keep this course in good shape. In the past, my reviews lamented that players weren’t good about fixing their ball marks on the green, but there were very few of them yesterday.
