About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Ranger danger
We had to wait on the group ahead of us on the first 3-4 tees, after which they finally got out of our way, which put us 10-12 minutes behind. Then at the 8th hole a lady ranger got on us about our pace. She hassled us again on #11 at which time I explained we were only behind because the group ahead held us up initially. She retorted that the group behind us was waiting so we must be slow. We finished the round in 4:15, which is perfectly acceptable. So apparently we were expected to rush through our round and make up the time the group ahead of us lost. It was irritating and affected our game after the 2nd time she approached us. I’m all for keeping a reasonable pace but having to rush unreasonably detracts significantly. I may go back but if the experience is similar then will be the last time. My perception is the lady didn’t really know her job.
Beautiful day at Foothills
2nd time playing this course. Course was in great shape overall, although the greens weren’t completely recovered from aeration a couple weeks prior. Weather was fantastic. Only complaint is the pace was very slow, had to wait on practically every tee box. Nevertheless an enjoyable round.
Great pace of play
The greens were irritated a week ago. Otherwise good conditions. Pace of play was quick finished 20 minutes ahead of pace. Marshal was very friendly.
Nice Course and amazing view -
My brother and I setup this golf to have a nice afternoon of just awesome views and good golf. We setup a tee time for 18 holes but we only played 9 as it was a late tee time and the nice lady at the shop window suggested we not pay for the 18 and I thought that was really awesome of her. Knowing she works for you guys, I honestly felt she put the customer 1st. Did not get her name but she was amazing, her level of customer service was top notch.
It is great
One of my favorites and there’s a ton of reasons why.
Have a hard time wiping the smile off my face on a average day at this course.
Love Foothills
Great mature course with no houses, condos or roads nearby. Great greens!
